Oh like 80% of the people he brings on ? lol can’t take him serious at all. He’s gotten so cheesy over the last couple years it’s hard to listen to him.
@@jennyanydots2389my biggest problem with Joe every time I've seen him is that he very rarely gives pushback, he just lets people say whatever when they come on
@@Imperial_Squid I think Brogan has an inferiority complex deep down. The podcast was really good until he started leaning into more intellectual debates while getting all this "you're profound" type of feedback. I think deep down he truly believes that he's just a stoner jock comedian but the past few years with the notoriety and cash money he's begun to buy into the echo chamber that formed around his podcast... now he balances between trying not to sound stupid while producing "profound" soundbites. I think his ego buried the self-awareness he used to have under the spotify deal and dude-bro culture popularity.... he really does think he's saving people's lives with some of his podcasts now but deep down, he knows he just wants to talk about comedy, mma and smoke weed. You can really hear it when he talks to Elund Munsk, Joe's "serious profundity" sounds forced... mostly because Munsk is full of it himself.
@@mysonandme8424It’s because comedy is subjective. He can’t tell his friend he sucks at comedy. Meanwhile, Fighting is objective. Joe was trying to save his life
@@A3LIENWRKSHOPcompletely disagree, Ariel is a treasure to the MMA community, hearing him rip Schwab apart is hilarious, Schwab is too dumb to argue with Heelwani
Ariel only responds like that when he’s got the time to sit down and think about everything he’s going to say. Wouldn’t be surprised if he had a notebook with little bullet points with things to mention, and he only speaks about people like that when he’s on his own platform so he can control the narrative. He’s a weasel. He gets people on his show, and if they had any disagreement in the past he starts off by being extremely nice and friendly, and then out of nowhere he’ll bring up the situation and word it in a way that makes him seem like a victim, and since it’s his show, often times the person will be forced into a situation where they either seem like a bully or they yield and Ariel seems like he’s on the moral high ground. He’s a race baiter, he’s a slimy egotistical worm, and he’s two-faced. The guy will speak ill of someone, and if they even bring up the idea of confrontation he weasels up and pretends to be just this little pencil pushing nerd that’s completely innocent. Not to mention that he got banned from UFC events for sharing information with the media about something told to him privately, so he’s held a grudge ever since, and if given the opportunity will always try to make Dana White and the UFC look like slavers. Then if someone disagrees with anything he says about Dana or the UFC to his face he stutters and either immediately drops the subject, or he’ll have some straw man argument. He’s quite possibly the most two-faced, conniving worms in all of sports media. He didn’t hit Schuab with a “40 hit combo”. He got his feelings hurt by something Schuab said (tho he pretends to act like he doesn’t care) and then wrote down a bunch of things unrelated to why he got upset in the first place to say on HIS show so that nobody could immediately respond or call him out. And by no means am I a fan of Schuab as a person, or anything he does. But if he had been in the same room, Ariel would sit there silently or shower him with compliments. Unfortunately you and Ariel’s “fanbase” as a whole get impressed by things like his 10 minute monologue and think that he destroyed Schuab in an argument or had a 10-7 against him. It’s not a debate, argument, or conversation if only one person is able to speak, can edit what comes out, and prevents the other person from being able to directly respond. He’s a worm, and you, like the rest of his Simp army, are worm food.
Lol I never saw that gaethje clip. Telling Schaub to his face that he doesn't know shit about MMA even though he fought in the UFC is a hilarious thing to do. Well done, gaethje.
Schaub wouldn’t even think about getting tough with Justin lol. He would beat the life out of him. Schaub is just DUMB, no matter what he does he won’t learn. Some people just can’t process things and store it in their brain. I know plenty of people like this, you can explain it for 3 hrs and they just “uhhhhhh”.
I'm starting to think that Brendan never told a joke in his life (still hasn't) but the things coming out of his mouth were so absurd and outlandish that Joe Rogan mistook them as jokes. Being the people pleaser that he is Brenda just laughed along with Joe and now he has 3 podcasts and 2 comedy specials.
... or maybe we missed out on a future champion. What if instead of submitting to what Joe said he reinvented himself into a beast. What if he came back knocking guys out violently? A new mythical fighter 🔓Decent Brandon🔓
And he opened the door to him being rich and driving a Lambo ... Never woulda happened if he had kept fighting... And no, he wouldn't have transitioned into comedy/10 podcasts a week later on after fighting another year or longer. He would have been far too gone from the CTE to even be able to do anything but sit there and slobber on the mic after several more severe beatings and multiple knock outs.
@@RG-yc7yxthe division sucked but that doesnt mean it wasnt elite fighters. Schawb was never the 7th best heavyweight in thw world. MAYBE in the UFC. But you had alistar fedor, wardum, silva. If you really are honest. We know schaub wasnt a top ranked fighter.
It's amazing of all people to go after, Brenda went after Ariel. As a casual MMA fan, Ariel is literally the only MMA beat writer who's a household name.
I can say that there's a noticeable difference in B's mental state after all those punches to the head. CTE is very serious, it definitely has made him steal jokes and say downright stupid things constantly
Can't say CTE made him become a joe theif abd such ...I feel like the CTE thing is a cop out esp considering it doesn't show itself ib the worst ways for a couple decades usually so imagine him at 50 lol but yeah maybe he just a joke theif and a redacted person who really thinks he better than most ppl...I know ppl like him from school and it had nothing to do with punches or CTE..they were just idiots which isn't that bad untilvyou start trashing everyone like Ariel said
Schwaub was a loser the day before he was born, couldn't speak before fighting either, you're delusional if u think cte is what ruined shaub. It's honestly laughable
Yea i honestly feel bad for the guy at this point…. Even if CTE aint the main problem we at least should take into consideration that its still a high possibility that he developed it and that it does affect him… an ex UFC heavyweight fighter who had been knocked out by heavy punchers and also years of nearly pro level football… all the continuous shocks to his body and head definitely affected him… and now he has to wake up everyday to find new viceos specifically targeting him must not be helpful at all neither.
Holy shit. I never saw the entirety of the whole “I think you’d be surprised” clip but hot damn; Joe was really going in and letting him know exactly what he thought. I mean, that’s not a bad thing, but still, damn 😂
@@grayson0916 He definitely wasn’t wrong, and that is what a close friend should be there for; but that’s still rough when being broadcasted online to millions.
Probably won't ever happen, but Joe needs that same talk to Schlob about comedy. Its been some years, and no one in the comedy scene takes him seriously.
He was much, much worse in comedy. He really didn't have too bad a fighting career like people say, it's more that Joe Rogan has never picked a fighter and set up a new life for them out of pity but there have been plenty who were less skilled and could have used it more than Brendan.
@@Freud_Mayweather the dissonance is that he acts like he had a Conor McGregor esque marquee career in MMA with the hugely over emphasized story in his special so it's fun to make fun of how average it was
Honestly brendan was a successful fighter. He made it to the finals in the ultimate fighter. He had a winning record. Joe was honestly way too critical and really was wrong. The thing that wasn't brought up in the Travis brown fight was that they were both fucking Ronda rousey at the time and Travis was in straight kill mode because of that
I'm not the biggest Ariel Helwani fanboy, but Brendan really needs to learn not to get into wars of words, with intelligent people who can actually string a sentence together. It's embarrassing. It's like listening to a child being lectured by a parent on why it's not a good idea to put a fork in the microwave.
I got sucked into this beef more than I care to admit. Ariel straight up eviscerated Brian and Brendan. He didn’t kill their careers tho; they did that to themselves. Shame but let this be a lesson; sometimes it’s best to admit you were wrong.
That talk Joe had with him about his actual ability and where he thinks he is to talk. A lot of student athletes should have with themselves. Like me I loved basketball but when high school came around, I started to see the difference in size in myself and everybody else, and I realized I could never compete with them so I just kept it a hobby and kept it moving.
0:37 BS saying "I think he's struggling with his pronoun" (no S when he said it) while wearing a women's wig was the only funny bit he's ever had. Except it wasn't a bit
