Hands down, no matter how you feel about Richmond FC, and all my bias as a lifelong fan aside - there should be nothing but admiration and respect for everyone involved in the last 13 years. From Brendan Gale, to Dimma and of course the players. I've been privileged to witness Richmond flags in my lifetime and I'll cherish that forever. Bravo 💛🖤
It is amazing that Brendon Gale could articulate that vision for Richmond, with giggles, chuckles and howls of derision from the rest of us. Actually meet those expectations and having climbed that version of Mount Everest, the AFL decides nah, we will promote from within. At a time when the league desperately needs fresh thinking and ideas.
As tempting as it would be for any club to have Dimma as their next coach, I think it really shows that you need a quality team both on and off the field. As Gale says, shared leadership - no one man can land a flag, it really requires the whole club to be performing at a high level in every aspect of the game and industry.
After approx 30 years of internal backstabbing, undermining & bad administration...RFC actually managed to rise above in-fighting & commit to success on and off the field. They have been well served by Hardwick, Gail, the players and all the administration team who worked for a shared vision @ "Tigerland"..."Everything that has a beginning has an End"... I just hope that RFC doesnt decend into the craziness that almost destroyed a special footy club.
I think port Adelaide Football club have already spoken to Dimma about being there next coach, i believe they are getting sick of being up there but No silverware to show for it I'm aware that Ken is a good coach but he has had his time at Port it wouldn't surprise me if Dimma goes there in the next two years.
Bro the narrative around getting a previous premiership coach not bringing success is so brain dead when you actually look into it the sample size is minuscule in recent years
