Lmfao that comment is how you know someone doesn't sub to Dropout lol D20 fans know because of how many times they've threatened to fight him in a Dennys parking lot lol
You can tell from his muttering that he knows it's gonna be one of two things. They already failed or its gonna be non sense side info. And it was the later.
You can see him like just go from quietly mumbling "nah nah nah nah nah don't you do it don't do it whatever it is no no no no no" to then "AH FUCK!!! NO!!! FUCK YOUUUUU!!!"
One of my favourite things about Brennan as a GM is that he truly knows how to give emotional whiplash to his players. It's never too long the point of ruining a moment, but juuust at the right second to give them N adrenaline rush... And cause Lou to nope out 😂❤️
He absolutely does but this one was extra funny because he does so much over-the-top, jaw dropping craziness, but I think he does very few false alarms like this. So the cast and I 100% believed something major was happening.
The look on Lou's face when Brennan cuts in is of 'here we go again' and he is ready for some Brennan style chaos and the rug is ripped out from underneath him and he pissed off at being worked up over nothing. Lol.
@@TPixelAdventures my favorite was the "oh you thought I was gonna die cause I said I would die tomorrow....... but it's not tomorrow it's today" and Lou just loses his mind lol
Spoilers I love that he pulled this bait TWICE but then it turns out the bad guys really were blowing shit up but they timed it to be at the same time as the fireworks!! Fucking incredible!
Marisha being like "this miniseries is too stressful, I'm canceling it" is so pure, because little does she know in this clip, it's only going to so, so, SO much worse.
Two episodes in and I am loving this EU Calamity series so far. Travis made me LOL in the four sided dive last night when he joked about this special- "no no, we are going to succeed and prevent The Calamity, then you will have to figure out how to rewrite so much lore"
@@TheBiggreenpig Well We know that it Will end in a Calamity but other Then that We do not know anything. Who lives and who dies? We do not know. Only 2/3 of life died, so some of them may live.
These moments are the best, haha In one of my campaigns my players were traveling through a dense jungle, I interrupted the ambiance music and played the sound of a raptor call. The players armed their weapons and charged through the brush to meet the raptor(s) head on rather than waiting to be ambushed As they burst through the brush I told them “You see a tropical bird mimicking the sound of a raptor” The barbarian proceeded to roll a nat 20 on the parrot and it exploded into a cloud of feathers and red mist
I baited my players once using a giant statue of a dragon which was enchanted to breathe a jet of flame into the air. It worked about as well as I hoped, even though the the reveal was interrupted by the Barbarian, who got mixed up and identified the fire-breathing creature as a unicorn.
Looooool Most of the stories from home games I find on reddit and yt comments are not that interesting or funny to me, but this actually made me laugh. Well played.
My favorite part is how Lou and Abria both start reacting with dread like 5 seconds before everyone else, because they're so tuned to Brennan's shenanigans 😂😂😂😂
It might have been the introduction of Bolo, but there was one scene in particular where Sam was visibly awed and delighted by the absolute chaos Brennan brings to this table. I love it. 😂
Don't get me wrong I love Matt Mercer but I worship and Adore Brannan Lee Mulligan. I personally think and feel free to disagree, is the greatest dm of all time.
I think Brennan is just as good as a player as a DM. But he's never a player because he needs to be the DM. Same with Matt. Those two are probably the best.
@@jacobantony9033 I'm a tiny bit sad Aabria didn't get to play alongside Matt. But man, the crew that's there is so damn perfect, it's hard to imagine any changes.
I've tried to watch full episodes of D20, EXU and critical role. Didn't really want to watch any of them all the way through, but Brennan definitely kept my attention longer than Matt.
I’ve said this before elsewhere but it bears repeating. April fools day swap one shot Brennan DMs the CR original cast in aCoC one shot and Matt tries to wrangle the intrepid heroes in an exandria campaign.
I love that 2 seconds before this clip begins is Brennan narrator voicing “someone would have to be in the guild hall” and Lou immediately repeats it with in character emphasis “Someone would have to be *in* the *guild hall*”
I love Lou looking up as Brennan begins to talk, slowly shaking his head as he continues, and straight up leaving and flipping a double bird as he finishes…
I love watching Brennan react to the character’s conversation. 0:32 as Lou is saying that the guild is empty, Brennan makes a face like “that’s a bold assumption”.
The way Lou got up with those incredible earrings with both middle fingers extended is the most beautiful thing to ever grace my screen. Excuse me while I rewind and screenshot myself a new wallpaper
I like how even though Lou should be 100% used to Brennans bullshit by this point, he is still always the number 1 person to be most thrown by said bullshit.
This is truly a Master Class in the art of dramatic irony. The Calamity is a historic moment in the world of Exandria and has been teased and talked about for years...and it gets to be used as a punchline for a joke about a fireworks extravaganza
You can see Brennan just quietly half zoning out looking like he's bored, and half being that person in the conversation that's just waiting for you to finish so they can say their thing without regard to whatever you just said. And he's just waiting in that state going, "let's see when they're going to be finished... I'm going to FUCK them up" 😈😂
I feel like this is a small sample of what PTSD sufferers go through. The very first instinct is "something has gone horribly wrong and we're all gonna die", but no, it's just fireworks.
Marisha: This mini series is too stressful, I'm cancelling it. Why did I agree and disagree with her? Lol Jeez Lou-ise I dread tuning in every thursday now
I lived in Poland years ago and didn't understand the language much. One night massive fireworks went off for some reason I didn't understand anyone telling me about. My first panicked thought was: "East or West?"
