Nap Queen yess niggas be trippin. it doesn't matter who was rockin w him in 2015 vs who just started as long as it's genuine. he said it himself that niggas are still "early" 😂
dear everyone in the comments, please stop trying to gatekeep. you’re behaving very selfishly. you’d rather your favorite artist be living off of scraps, barely getting by, than see them succeed and get the recognition they deserve..??? i’ve been there before; where i wanted to belong to a niche fandom of an underground artist. that’s a very selfish mindset and you truly have to be-rid yourself of this pride, that you were one of the few people to find an artist during their humble beginnings. you get no trophy for such. you aren’t an A&R so your not making money from it. all you get is bragging rights. and where does that get you? little to nowhere because people either think you’re a pompous asshole or don’t really gaf. do better. sorry for the rambling. all of these comments were starting to get on my nerves and i just felt some of y’all need to hear this...
i honestly agree with you. i think that many of ppl's concerns is that once he gets big, the style of his art might be affected & won't hv the same artistic & emotional effect it has rn. i've seen that with many of my fav artist. but, doesn't mean to gatekeep music! i love him so much i only want success for him! thanks for ur comment
Right im the top 2% brent faiyaz fan on Spotify, but I'm not in the comments acting like this dude is my man, He is simply a talented artist. People be trying to control someone they never met just because they like his music. All you have in common with Brent is that you like his music. You don't know this man sit yall asses down. These women just need some dick. They better be glad he is an independent artist, he takes pride in that he ain't selling his soul, that's all Im worried about. I stay putting people on to his music.
FRR but it gets so annoying when people try to act like they’ve been knowing him, like what’s wrong with barely finding his music it doesn’t make it any better or worse it’s beautiful regardless
it went to his head a long time ago. before the tik tok hype and even before goldlink’s scandal boosted his shit. y’all obviously ain’t listening to the “skits” cause that nigga cocky af.
ya'll are unnecessarily mean to new brent fans. music is for everyone and now that he' getting recognized you should be happy. i would rather say that he is getting respect now rather then having to hear that he is underrated.
I BinShootin And how does that negatively affect the artist? Do y’all think he’s going to pay his bills with the love and affection of his niche fans. Lol also what’s wrong with him being ‘overplayed’. The number of times an artist you enjoys music gets played shouldn’t affect how you feel about said artist
facts all people do is gate-keep music. I understand their reasons for wanting tiktok to not find him but in reality good music is good music. It doesn't matter if your favorite song is one of his most popular songs. In the end he is just gonna gain more popularity and get the recognition he deserves.
I just feel like most artists lose the soul in the music that makes them so amazing as they get more popular. Artists are typically at their peak before the industry gets a death grip on them, more people finding out about Brent means more mainstream producers making him beats, more features with industry players, more "pop" sounding music, less control over releases, less mixtapes, singles, and EP's, and more pressure on the artist to put out something that sells rather than them putting their soul into the music. The Weeknd is a big example, still good but the trilogy seems very authentic where as starboy felt more industry cosigned
I’ve been listening to him for 2 years now and he helped me through my break up and helped me find myself again. Heartbreak brought me here glad I got my heart broken I would have never found this music. Thanks Brent Faiyaz 💯💪🏽
The funny thing about humans is that we are so prideful. The yearn to be different consumes people so much that it often comes off as pretentious. How can such "fans" be upset that he is getting recognized? It's okay that other's want to enjoy his music as well. It doesn't take away from the fact that you heard about him sooner
this song deserves an animation, every time his voice comes in and out on that one part I see terry and max from batman beyond on the dance floor, If you know, you know.
As requested, I am currently uploading content on SoundCloud as well! I love the positivity, support, and that we all have something in common...we ❤️ Brent! As stated, my SoundCloud is “ForeignPeach_” feel free to tune in xoxo soundcloud.com/user-815603956
I dont understand why people care if they are true or fake fans. Can everybody please shut up, listen to the music and support the artist. Thank you! ♡
i don’t know about y’all but i’m glad brent is finally fame. y’all wanna be so “different”. he’s a really good artist and he deserves all the fame and fortune
I don’t understand how y’all let people easily ruin how much you like a song because it’s played too much or too many people like it. If you like the song and you wanna support keep listening who cares if people from tik tok find the song.
I really don’t care that I was jamming Brent before everyone else I’m just glad he getting the recognition like finally bro I be trying to put people on this but they not ready they don’t know they missing out on a vibe
I hate how half the comments here are talking about how you're "here before the tiktok kids find it" or " I hate how other people are finding his music" but on some real shit, they're simply enjoying the music and vibes that Brent gives . Let them enjoy his music and may he rise higher than the clouds above.
I mat be a little new to the fanbase but I've been listening to all his projects i can get my hand on appreciate his music the problem with tiktok people is they dont appreciate music or the artist they use them for clout then throw them away to look for more clout it sucks but it's the truth.
i personally think it’s ridiculous to not want him to get bigger and more successful but i can also understand why people feel the need to gatekeep him when a lot of his music is so personal and really speaks to me/us on a new level😩 especially those outros. still though let the man get what he deserves
