Still tired of hearing about Cleveland Gary's phantom TD. Even if it was a TD (or at least 1st down) the refs made up for it later by awarding Miami a TD on what should've been a trapped ball or incomplete pass on their last TD.

The Cleveland Gary play was not the first down but the touchdown. Gary put the ball over the goal line and the refs called it a fumble but Gary put the ball on the ground himself he was down. Jimmy was complaining about that. Musberger doesn't know what he is talking about. Great game wish we had more rivalries now.
The Canes turned the ball over 6 times against the school that says they are holier than though but calls a team Convicts since they are so catholic...
@@jwim3969 I saw that on slow motion replay too, as did Johnson and Lou on a TV special years later. No one realized the last Miami TD was NEVER a TD; the receive never had possession. Screw Miami. Go Irish.
