Could you possibly do the Lizardmen monster list with the new points distribution? I really want to see that list in action, probably impossible cause it takes a lot of stegadon models

Page 93 says under The Most Important Rule: "Warhammer: the Old World is a complex game and, as such, players will occasionally disagree in their interpretation of the rules. Should disagreements arise, players are encouraged to look up the rule(s) in question, reach an agreement and move on. Should this prove impossible, a roll-off should determine whose interpretation will apply for the remainder of the game. What matters more than any rule is that players enjoy their game and that rivalries remain friendly!"

Wild vibe in this batrep haha really enjoyed it Pretty sure the Pillar of Fire only does the hits when *it* moves, not when things move through it - the spell says “Any unit (friend or foe) the moving template touches or moves over suffers[…]” (emphasis on “the *moving* template”). When units move through it they just suffer dangerous terrain
The Ruby Ring is very good, not because it's overpowered (it's not. it's not reliable and can easily be countered), but because it's very efficient at clearing out bothersome chaff, where a lot of regular shooting isn't efficient to do so. It's also a guarantee to get a decent Magic Missile on any one character for 30 pts, very important when there are so few Magic Missiles in the different Lores
So looking at the lance swiping by the character, I think it might work if the warboss ends up in contact with the knights, despite being in the side. Looking at the blunted lance rules: [the lance becomes blunted if] The model at its front cannot make base contact with the enemy. If the warboss could be hit by the guy in the second rank, I think you could make an arguement that he is in front of the formation still and could be in base contact. It gets even wierder since skirmishers cannot blunt lances. Which would have mattered when the knights got charged by him.
I think this could have be resolved by the Evade special rule on p.206. Lone characters can make an initiative test to evade a pursuing unit. It comes up quite a bit but I've literally never seen it used in a battle report!
About base sizes, detachments and such. It's true that there's less space for manoeuvers and such. But you guys also play on lovely tables that always have at least 1/6th impassable terrain. It's a non-negligible amount of real estate that's removed from the table
Yeah those tables aren't very good for someone playing a lot of models and big units like )&G would. I still say Luka isn't taking big enough mobs of orcs. He could do without the 20 arrer boys and take regular boyz, bump those up to a minimum of 30 and march them down the enemy throat. 20 just isn't enough for core blocks.
New warhammer player here! Rules question more specific to Knights: When you catch a unit that Flees In Good Order with your Pursue move and the rules say that you count as having charged.. what are the repercussions of that? The wording seems like it needs more explanation, does that mean you get an initiative bonus on the next turn's combat ? Can you use lances again then even on the next turn ?
@mountainminiatures thanks for an amazing show, funniest by far. Mounted knights have the close order for +1 combat results and +1 for using the lance formation and then +1 for each rank with that contains enough models for a rank bonus (so 4 for heavy cavalry) I can't find the rule that removes the close order bonus
They do have the special rule for both open order and lance formation but you pick only one formation to adopt. So, wouldn't get the close order bonus. Kinda like how a lot of units have both open order and skirmisher special rules but you don't apply both formation rules, only one
