When you interviewed Favre he was still playing and hiding who he really was he didn't want a big black defensive lineman or linebacker to clean his clock they wait till retirement then you hear all this crap
“I’m tired of stroking the egos of insecure police officers who when we talk about Derek chauvin, you think we’re talking about you” 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. If you ass is gonna throw FEAR around as a police officer! Then you don’t need to do the job! Not saying there is no fear at times, but you have to be mentally stable and mentally strong to be a police! PERIOD
@@volsboy672 so cops aren’t POS either? So all cops are good is what you saying or some how they should feel they are above citizens? They chose to be cops we didn’t choose our skin color or to be in poverty and not have privilege. Cops were not even made to protect minorities were they, they were made to make white women and men especially white women feel safe against black men who they looked at as predators. How do you expect minorities to feel towards cops dating back in the 1950s huh
Nowadays people don't care about officers that are mentally or even sometimes physically fit to so there jobs. They want smarty pants who can score high on tests and examines...then when they run into a similar situation they panic or scared trigger happy
@@volsboy672 you sound stupid, like I said, if you are a beta and a coward who wants to use “fear” as an excuse for improperly doing your damn job then go find something better to do that suits you. Derek chauvin is a coward insecure bitch who abused his authority as police officer, in his mind he felt inferior as a man, that’s not a civilian problem that’s his problem. He will have to live behind prison walls in protective custody now, he’s a POS! You seem to be as well dummy.
@@bambam6537 Ask the pregnant woman who Floyd robbed at gunpoint how much of a POS he was. Then ask yourself why you make excuses for all these POS's that are killed by cops. Here's a thought. Don't be a criminal. It's one of those lifestyle choices that might shorten your lifespan. I don't feel sorry for Chauvin either, though.
It dont take away from the fact that it was murder and the right verdict but it dont take away from the fact and I say fact not opinion that the fake money should never have been passed as Floyd should never have made it to that day his rap sheet says death years ago ...so the system has failed in many ways ...if he is ur hero you indeed are part of the problem
@@BaByFaCeBAYkid1 The irony in stupid people like you just will never seize to amaze. So the QB is the only position that matters in the nfl? Thats your argument as you call me a kid....? Try liistening to people who actually played the game and vs Eli they will tell you hes really trash and was carried by elite defense and coaching.
I don't know if I even like sports sometimes I watch mostly because I like seeing black people doing well I route for us we are at the bottom as a people good to see us rise on occasion so I don't care about racist a$$! people like Favre do well black man
Bret Favre isn't a hypocrite, keep in mind at heart he's a Mississippian. Regardless of the high fives and hugs with Black athletes on and off the field, he's a Mississippian at heart, who has not come to terms with his privilege. There is no way to determine the depth of rebel thinking in his heart. In time, the snake's venom comes spewing out, it's inevitable.
Fair enough. But why should anyone come to terms with "their priviledge"? What is the point in that reasoning? I've never understood it. We could just as easy call them normal and us underprivileged. It seems like a manipulative shaming tactic to me that actually creates toxicity in ourselves. It's something a woman would do to another women she's envious of. It's not healthy to worry about or care about how privileged white people are. That just puts the focus on them rather than ourselves. I can guarantee they are not worried about this and that's why they stay successful. This kind of thinking is a trap.
Thank you brothers for tellin' it straight. It is shocking how much racism lay dormant and unexpressed until our previous president told them it was ok. At least now we know, and I pray we march with strong purpose toward systemic solutions. Peace.
@@1stnamebr406 no it didn't but he seemed to make shit seem cool and so many none white people started to get treated like shit under his watch and he said nothing to clear up how he felt
@@irvgotto80 America been kicking black people in the ass since we were brought over as slaves. Learn your damn history! Trump didn't fuel nothing that wasn't already fueled.
@@Don-md6wn That was an error. So I'll do a retraction just for you. Brett Farve isn't a hypocrite. Yall just let football records blind you from the real Brett Farve. So @Don you can know get some sleep and wake up none the wiser.
First I was mad my New Orleans Saints got hit up for bounty gate losing all those picks , but I'm glad we busted his butt up can you say bruised for months good job Greg Williams Who Dat
People need to be circumspect with regard to Chauvin being found guilty. There is still the sentencing phase to come, and there's no telling how much time or how little time he gets. Plus, there will be appeals and the Minnesota state supreme court could overturn the conviction on a number of technicalities.
Brett Favre with his 2 VIP Massage women giving him massage in New York when he played for the Jets his wife didn't care as long as she was in Gucci and had a drink
I stumbled upon this podcast just to see my boy Mike back giving his great analysis on sports and pop culture. Glad to see Mike back on the screen where he belongs
Well, whatever consolation we received as a result of the guilty verdict was indeed short lived...especially when we consider the number of black people who have been killed by police in this country since the guilty verdict was handed down. It is as if they are seeking retribution!
Charmed his way into being addicted to drugs, to sending unwarranted nasty pic of himself and to taking welfare money from the State of Mississippi. Yea boy he's a stand up guy.
The only thing that Brett Favre did was reveal his Mississippi upbringing. Those are probably thoughts that he heard in the home growing up and attitudes about black people voiced by family members and Friends. As Shannon Sharpe said Brett Favre knows black people he doesn't have any black friends.
@@italiarosa4666 I agree brotha and my comment wasn't one of ignorance. He's (Brett) from Mississippi aka the deep south. I just think we as a people give credence to people who don't deserve it and won't listen. It's clear that BF is one of those so why take time out of our lives to entertain him.. he's the same clown who was sexually harassing a co worker while his wife was in chemotherapy!
And that's how Farve felt even after seeing the video. So just try to imagine how he would have felt without seeing the video. Thank God for video. That is how people like Trump, Farve, and too many others, feel about the blindness their white sheltered privilege, insecurity, and/ or hatefulness creates.
Don't worry, these days Georgia is really giving you guys a run for your money in the race for most ignorant state in the USA. Alabama, of course, is right there as always.
Focus on their pensions. Defund them not departments. Compare how much they get compared to people on social security. People once they retire, we work for them so their pensions can be funded.
Brett Favre is a native of Mississippi. He just can't see Derek chauvin a white police officer going to jail for killing a black man. Just imagine how he felt about his black players when he was active in the NFL. Emmitt til Martin Luther king jr. Etc in my opinion was justice to brett Favre.
No man, in his right mind, ever intends to kill another man. Was this policeman doing what dirty cops do? I think YES. Was this policeman trying to send a message to all others that go up against the blue? I think YES. Was this policeman knowingly holding his knee on this mans neck longer than needed to subdue this man? I think YES. But this man did not intend to kill this criminal no matter how bad this criminal was to the general public. Now these two men used to love Brett but now that he expressed his opinion he turns out to be a bad man? I think NOT. Same thing happened to Drew with his comment. We are in a time where when two people disagree the other person is bad and no one should listen to that person and that person is stupid. So many people say they are Christians and love Jesus but do not follow His teachings. The two biggest commandments are - Love God with all your heart, soul and mind and love your neighbor as yourself. If everyone would follow these two commandments this world would be wonderful. All this racism talk was started by some very intelligent people, just as feminism was started, and they did it to break down the love people should have for one another just as feminism was created to break down the family structure and cause many divorces and mothers raising their children alone. We, everyone else, have to raise up and be smarter than these people creating these issues and fo.low the teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ. God Bless
He didn't intend to do it ??? After people where telling him to get off his neck, knowing he can't breathe for 9 minutes ??? 😫 Ignorant statement on a public lynching.
I live in Akron Ohio. 2 months ago a young man was shot over 60 times with over 90 rounds fired. The video of it was grotesque. No national NOTHING. The BLACK MAN was unarmed. The video shows him laying on the ground as they kept firing. It was something that words can't explain.
Well I was waiting for Mike to finish and Michael monopolized the whole thing! Damn!! Can you put a timer up and make sure it's equal timing for both of them!! Just sheer inconsiderate behavior!!
1-thing that saddens me when it comes to these situations is & seems to be the case, a lot these days is- when the curtain gets pulled back, the ugliness of a lot of White "stars" is being exposed, much to their detriment. Can you imagine if Peyton Manning was exposed as a racist? Dan Hampton refused to go to the Whitehouse with the 85-Bears. Mike Ditka is a Trump supporter. Ditka, you kind of knew... But- Danamal Hampton hurt my heart.
A lot of people have flexible standards when it comes to right and wrong, a lot of people have a flexible standard when it comes to crime. For an act to be classified as a crime by them, depends on who did the supposed crime, therefore that's how Farve could come up with that opinion.
If a man broke into your home and pointed a gun at your pregnant wife and told her he was going to kill her and her baby unless she does exactly what he says what would you think of that human being. That same person has been arrested 9 other times and does meth and fentanyl on a regular basis. That person then gets caught using counterfeit money and gets stopped by the police. Is that someone we should be holding to a high standard and looking up to as a Saint just because a cop made a bad decision that resulted in this persons death? 99.99% of people I’m guessing do not get killed by police if they do not get physical and resist arrest. When you get physical with a police officer they go into survival mode and training mode and there is a good chance you could end up dead. Respect law and order otherwise anything can happen you are taking a risk. George was a old man and should have known better at this stage of his life. The cop made a horrible decision to restrain him the way he did but cops are human and sometimes make bad decisions and this was one of them. I wish Chauvin would have explained why he choose not to get off George and I believe he should go to jail but over all police are not trying to kill anyone and it’s sick how people are trying to pain them as evil villains and propping the true criminals as saints. I can see where Brett is coming from when it comes to his conclusion. I don’t think athletes have to stick to sports on their own time off the field but it would be wise not to politicize the game it’s self. People tune into sports for entertainment if they want political opinion they can watch the news. Sports is killing themselves by turning themselves into the Democrat party especially when they trying to pretend police officers are the bad guys and it’s a national problem. I guarantee you most people do not believe that and they respect the sacrifice these people make on a regular basis. We need police officers in this world we do not need sports entertainment. 769 people murdered in Chicago 2020. 80% was black and they only make up 26% of population. There is much bigger problems than police brutality in the black neighborhood. These police officers go into violent neighborhoods and combat these violent criminals/murders and without the police the crime would even be much higher. You want no more police good luck with that. I challenge any big city to go without police for 3 months and see how well you get along. And go without sports for three months and tell me which one you miss the most. Police officers are barely middle income and are completely disrespected by the Left wingers that need police the most.
What most people don't understand is 2nd Degree murderer and Manslaughter has nothing to do with intent. It is a reasonable person having knowledge that your your action or continued actions can or will cause death or great bodily harm and the results cause death or great bodily harm. That's why he was convicted due to his knowledge training and policy violation. Had nothing to do with intent thats 1st Degree murderer they would have had to prove intent and mindset very hard for police cases so best 2 options knowledge reckless conduct cause GUILTY. EDUCATE BRETT! Don't throw him away lack of understanding in a chance to educate.
I have many of Farce jerseys from the nineties to when he played for Minnesota and the jets As a die hard Vikings, I was and still very happy up to his bs about Chauvin I did not throw away all of the jerseys of him, I burned them all Damn...all the money I spent on those jerseys amounts to over 10000$. Way to go Farve
Let me take a play from Favre's playbook. Athletes should stick to sports. As him being a former athlete, I don't care to hear his opinion on anything unless it is football. Even then, it is questionable.
Everyone has their own opinions but being a hypercrite is right to be called out here. I definitely enjoyed your point of view and let's remember each case is different.
