Brett you gotta start that series of gear/software and guitar playing instruction that you mentioned in one of your videos. The world awaits. Awesome melodic playing!
Thank you. I've actually been working on a lot of content, but not as much as I should be. Thanks for this comment, it's the kick in the butt I needed. You may never know the significance of this. You have my sincerest gratitude.
I have mine 2 weeks now and I can’t believe what a nice guitar it is. I am still getting used to it and learning how to do the whammy bar stuff, but it’s incredible!

Yes, I've been gearing up and working on video and tab integration for a new RU-vid channel that I plan to launch by mid year. Thanks for subscribing. Watch for a video that will lead you to the launch of the new channel. Thanks for the kind words!
Got mine last week, cred to Brett for the demo 👊 Amazing guitar however it takes some development time if you're you're new to Fishman and the Sustaniac. Brett could you PLEASE share some tips on your amazing tone? Masterful playing!
Outstanding! Congrats on the new guitar. Thanks for the props. I'm glad you like my tone. I spent years tweeking it. It's a 25 year old Digitech GSP-2101LE direct to the DAW. There are no post production tweeks on the guitar track other than volume. Here is a video that has my clean and dirty patches laid out with all the parameters. You can find 2101's on ebay for between $300-$400. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-LcV4UMYZ1Ds.html
I like everything about this guitar except the sound of the Sustainiac when it's being used as a neck pickup. Thanks for the kind words. I'm glad you enjoyed the video. I did a full review of this guitar here. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3ML4g5KJkNE.html
Outstanding. I think you'll love it. Something of note. A lot of demo videos I've seen about the Sustainiac have players hitting harmonics and then using the whammy. If I'm gonna dive a harmonic, I turn the Sustainiac OFF, because it completely changes the sound of the harmonic and then I'm unable to produce the desired outcome, sonically. This is because the Sustainiac takes over the string. Some harmonics will sustain fine, but not many. Once I realized this, I just used the Sustainiac to sustain actual notes, and let the three different switchable modes dictate the bloom of the sustained sound and the octave that the note blooms to. I hope that makes sense. Maybe I should make a new video with updated information. I've learned so much since I made these first videos about this guitar. Be sure to put two brand new Duracell or Energizer 9 volts in this guitar, and never leave it plugged in if you're not playing it. If the cable is plugged into your guitar, the batteries will die in a day or two. Have fun!
@@BrettFunkGuitar much appreciate Brett for your sharing your experience with me. Actually i watched your review video repeatedly too. That was great and i got a lot of useful information from your video. I believe i gotta spend some time to learn the sustaniac stuff too. Yes, I'll bring along a brand new Energizer battery when i reach the guitar store. Can't wait to bring it home too🤣. Thanks again for all the advises. Have a great day Brett.
I'm glad you liked it enough to want to learn it, but I'm sorry I have not tabbed this. It was just an off the cuff improvisation to test the webcam. However, you can slow it down right on the RU-vid playback controls, and maybe that would get you there. It's not a really fast piece. There are only a few fast runs. Take it a bit at a time. Thanks for listening!
That's a very personal choice you'll have to make. I remember when Ibanez released the Universe 7 String, Steve Vai model. I was managing a music store back then and I played it a bunch, mostly trying to convince myself that I should buy it. But for me, I could never get used to having that extra string. It just got in my way. I wish I would have bought that guitar. Can't imagine what it would be worth now, it was an original first edition neon swirl. I would say, try a 7 string and see how it feels to you. Sorry I can't be more help on this one.
Also please get a 4K camera. If you are going to put in so much effort and design into your series, might as well have crystal clear hi-res video. Mucho thanks!
Thanks S B! I actually have gotten better video gear. I got a nice Canon cam, and set up a green screen room with some sweet lights. Right now I'm learning how to use the camera, lights, green screen, and video editing software. I've come quite a way, but the learning curve on the video editing suite is quite steep. I'm just happy that I've been an audio engineer for over 30 years, so that is the easy part for me. Here is my latest test video. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--ElCyaUmzPQ.html Thanks so much for watching and your comments. I really appreciate you!
And this one is the video I used to try and decide which guitar works best for the green screen. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-663lZzzc75c.html
I have not played the Dragonburst. I would need to play both to offer an opinion. I have not played a Schecter that I don't like. They make great guitars! Good luck. Let me know what you end up with!
