Wow. I honestly don't think I've heard a song like this before, where the person's just entirely accepting of a breakup--not hating the other person or themselves for it, not questioning if the whole relationship meant anything, not torn up with heartbreak or anger or anything. Just accepting that in the end it wasn't meant to be, the other person just will be happier outside of that relationship, "i fell in love and you didn't," and it's as simple as that and that's okay. And they accept it and honestly wish the other person well. The world needs more songs like that, I think.
Agreed 💯 and even though it's heartbreaking 💔 in the beginning it's like the band-aid rip once you get it off things will start to soothe. And it's OK. Also add, God I love Brett and his song's, they always come out at perfect timing 🎵.
It’s powerful. I feel like there was a long fight to hold on to the relationship before he finally accepted. Even the lyrics, “there’s nothing I could say, to make you want to stay, your heart made up its mind…”. This hits home right now. I just have to accept that I fell in love and she didn’t.
I broke down when I heard this. I have never heard such a selfless song in fact I wish the men I have rejected in my life would have sent this to me. If some had walked my last three years in life they may not remain standing and music does that for me. From losing my eldest child unexpectedly to loosing what I thought was the love of my life after him cheating and then having to realize it wasn't me at all after 3 years that I WAS ENOUGH and finally understanding that he will never be happy or satisfied or maybe doesn't know how to love someone. I just love all of his music. This song reminds of a relationship I had many years ago only I was the one who got left. I never let it go totally and wondered all of my life what went wrong and finally had to accept the fact after a lifetime that somethings are just not meant to be. I would never have found the love of my life after all of these years if it had worked out differently. I thank God for unanswered prayers. Noone could have sang this song like Brett!

Brett Young does amazing things… I wish I could put such simple words together that made such an impact! “You ain’t done nothing wrong, I’m not where you belong.” It takes someone who is genuinely IN LOVE to let the other person go even when that crap hurts like all hell. I have a feeling I’m being “that” selfish love maybe he DOESN’T need more, maybe he just needs different. 💔
Man, I can sure relate to this! It HURTS, but you can't make someone love you! I had to walk away, killed me, he wanted to still stay together, knowing I was in love with him, and told me he didn't think he ever would be. Called, came by, all hours, left message after message, but never could say anything but how he missed me, wanted me. Sometimes, in hind sight, your grateful God didn't answer that prayer!

I love this song so much. It hits the nail on the head. "You ain't done nothing wrong, I'm not where you belong"; "your heart made up its mind"; "you think it's your fault but it isnt" "you didn't need more, you just needed different"..... like damn.... wrongs never sounded so true, honest or understanding. I've never been able to understand why it's so hard for people to just be kind when relationships don't work out. Pointing fingers and making it seem like something is wrong with the other person or with themselves, when the reality of it is, well majority of the time, it's not that there is something wrong with anyone, you're not just Wright for each other.
