We recently modified the design of the pull through bulkhead fitting making install instructions a little different. In this video we show how to mount a half coupling for use with a thermometer and a drain bulkhead.
For those that consider this, great product and help. It also is helpful to tape and fit your piece before soldering, allowing you to install it where the bulkhead or thermometer is oriented correctly
I've done half a dozen of these by now. With the right tools it is easy as pie. The hole cutters go through a keg wall very easily; not like using one of those step bits. Just USE OIL!! Spend the $ on the bit and you won't regret it.
the silver solder u guys sale in a kit that works on stainless steel and copper together will regular propane melt the solder or would I have to get a can of map
You figure it out yet? I use 56% silver solder ( it's technically brazing) with mapp and a quality torch head, or, for an even faster braze, a cheap-o oxy-mapp/propane set up. Guaranteed to work.
