Very interested in how Verdant took every step compared to other breweries that started around the same mark but are nowhere near as big as they are now. One of my absolute favorites is Walhalla from Amsterdam Netherlands. Luckily for me I live near the brewery and taproom (5min ride by bike) which is also very dangerous 😅 but the level on which they operate is very small and family like. As a local you know everyone that’s why i like them even more. But, i also want to see them excel in a big way because i love the place and people need to know about them.
I'm watching the video while drinking this colabo beer...one month later than the release...and I confess: there is enough pineapple, less bitterness more fruitiness. Awesome! Cheers from Madrid. Congrats for the job!
I've just remembered - I drank this last Friday! It was a great beer! Encourage others to seek it out also. (Also, it's a Verdant - of course it's a great beer 😁)
I couldn't make it to your Fest' but as a consolation I can walk to Verdant so I have a mid week beer festival, every week, with Pizza. Definitely not a Cult is still on tap and tasting great.
Your conversations and co-labs with Verdant (James) have always been GOLD! Also and especially this time. Great vid and interview but devastated not be able to taste that beer (Finland wants you!!)!!
Tried it 2 weeks ago in the Verdant taproom! Great beer - Verdant style...😊 It's in the top 10% of all 70 beers we tried on our brewery tour starting in Cornwall up to Manchester! Had to skip Siren and Elusive, but in turn could visit the Hook Norton Brewery... which was a true highlight! Thanks for pointing that out...❤
16 g per liter Dry Hop Insane! I can only dream of such a quantity of dry hops in my country. Idk why they do not use classic one step decoction for their lagers. 63°C split, heat up to 100°C, combine 72°C . Same time better results. Good Video!
Finally got round to watching the whole video very enjoyable...I first tried this beer at the beginning of my 50th birthday celebrations in October last year and thought it was mega then . I'm now on the last three of a 12 pack I bought half price as part of verdant's black Friday sale they had and it still tastes great.. congrats boys and the wizards at verdant..btw the can art would make a fantastic T-shirt..it's got to be done ✊
I had your beer 'Definitely not a cult' yesterday at a craft beer bar in Knutsford (Dexter & Jones) completely unaware that it was your collab beer! Absolutely delicious guys!
I can't wait to comeback to London next year and find some Verdant now that The Experiment is closed :(. Such great ipas this guys made. I bring back some cans with me this year to my country (Chile) and what a great time was drinking some Verdant's in my house jaja. Congratulation guys for this 10 years. Hope one day can share some pints with you Johnny and Brad. Cheers.
I can’t wait to get back to the UK and try Verdant’s beer. It feels a little strange that I’ve used their yeast, but I’ve never had one of their NEIPA’s. What an odd, funny time to be alive.
Awesome video! Every week or two when my local beer shop gets new Verdants, I just have to try all of them❤. Fav. IPA brewery out there right now! And soo consistent, never had a beer I didnt like. (Written in water being the only one I thought was just nice instead of sensational). Mad props to James and his whole team.
'its verdant of course it's good' this is not to be taken lightly.. I've never found a beer even close to verdant quality. Also never had a bad beer from verdant. Genuine masters of their craft and I love James! He's a genius
Speaking of helles beers at the moment I’m enjoying a foeder-lagered “jahreszeiten” hellerbock from schilling beer company out of Littleton, New Hampshire . Here in Lewiston New York
Entertaining and informative as ever.......................I was at the Verdant Taproom for 3 nights a few weeks ago, great place with stunning beers, bought 2 cans of your beer and lots others of course, looking forward to drinking them soon :)
My parents have a place just across the road from Verdant so I may or may not dip into the bank of mum and dad to get anything and everything verdant without the shipping cost... in close competition with Pollys for the best NEIPA in the world for me
Amazing really enjoying this series😍. You really did pick the creme de la creme of breweries. Verdant are definitely one of the best, you always know there beers are going to be banging! I hope to see some of these recipes maybe make there way to a MaltMiller kit ? Anyway keep in doing what your doing!
Not rubbed any Azacca lately but from my memory of it around 2019 it was much more rounded and stone fruity than BRU-1. Perhaps time I got my face in a bag again!
I was fortunate to try the green cheek verdant collab beer was good but nothing I haven’t had before. I’m not a fan of active fermentation dry hop additions because of haze stability. Those beers tend to be thinner in body and mouthfeel.
I thought it was great. I agree it is a different feel when you hop exclusively that way but that's what they were aiming for with their Cali IPA style recipe.
I'm jealous now, I'm going to have to try and get my hands on that beer. You know how hard it is to find a correct Hazy Tropical IPA in the U.S.? Everyone I have come across has the NE IPA citrusy/grapefruit vibes, that is not what I am looking for. It must be the hops they are using or the brewer must have the wrong idea of what tropical is. Give me Pineapple, Mango, Guava, Passion Fruit 😂
Ok, I’m matching your verdant hazy ipa, fairly or unfairly with a “heady topper”. Would love to have one of your collab beers to compare. I’m guessing it would compare very favorably
No offense intended but I am so tired of hazy IPA with no color. I’ve started avoiding hazys when I’m out drinking because they are all the same these days. Bring back the orange hazys!
