I may be wrong, but it is my firm impression (both now AND at the time) that The BBC made a deliberate policy decision to keep rational democratic arguments (like this one) for Brexit off any prime time slots during the Brexit Debate and to ensure that arguments for Brexit could always be framed as irrational, malicious, and coming from the margins of politics.
