Breyer from Halloweens Past | Unboxing some oldies

I rooted around my basement to unearth some blasts from Breyer Halloweens past to finally unbox and admire my acquisitions. I'm working to complete my Breyer Halloween collection after coming back to the hobby later in life, and these were some of my finds. Some have been boxed for over 13 years... come with as I open them up!

Who are some of the past Breyer Halloween models? Do you have any of the Classics or 1:12 models? Who are you hoping to acquire for your collection?

I've never had any Halloween Breyers (nor indeed, have any Breyers at all, right now) but I love the glow in the dark plastic they used. The glow looks amazing!

The glow plastic is really fun, and the way they choose to block out certain shapes/designs with what glows is really neat. Some non-halloween models glow too! I know for sure the starry skies stablemates series glow, and they had a set of realistic-colored stablemates who glow.. but some models (the occasional Diadem) was made from leftover glow plastic. That was a fun surprise! I think a deco model made of glow plastic could be beautiful. Something like a blanket appaloosa but her spots are stars?? A model made to glow but outside the Halloween collection could be nice.

Yay!!! Wasn’t expecting another Candace Too vid so I’m so happy to see this. I’m working on some custom SM’s & this is great to watch while I take a break. I did some custom Halloween SM’s. One is something I’ve been wanting to make for a while but I had to figure out how to do it. I wanted it to look like a child threw a white, woven cotton blanket over her pony to dress it up as a ghost for trick-or-treat. I had to figure out how to do the blanket. Then I added a jack o’ lantern candy bucket being carried in the pony’s mouth & a couple of mini pumpkins to finish the look. I

@CandaceToo unboxings are great! But you can also do the following: - collector club 'check' video that asks you to show various parts of your collection such as newest, oldest, favorite, weirdest, most expensive, cheapest, etc. It should be easy to find! - i find shelf cleanings, not really asmr, but like the videos showing the process are relaxing. "Dust/groom my shelf/herd with me" type of video. - your guessing videos are great abiut what model you think are coming out, (maybe this years surprise xmas morning exp). - sharing if you have any congas or goals - how you properly pack/store models for travel or storage is always good - differences in models, like maybe a run down on whats "vintage" "chawky" "shrinky" etc that new collectors might not know?

I love him too, but yeah.. he's wildly expensive. People also rarely part with him. I know it's not the same thing, but I'm considering painting a similar-looking one for myself, just because he makes me so happy!

do they often release more than one halloween model per yr? or wait...is it a halloween model for every size version?

For the last few years, Breyer has done one big Halloween horse (1:9; Traditional), one medium horse (1:12; "Classic" or Freedom Series), and three or so tiny horses (1:32; Stablemates), generally sold "blind bag" style. They've been doing a little Halloween plush too. We might see some sneak peeks of upcoming Halloween models this weekend, actually!
