They scouted them for years, followed their college and professional careers, then worked closely with them for the last several months. They know what they have even if you don't. DeVito's fun to have on the team and he belongs in the NFL but there's a reason he wasn't drafted and a reason he's a practice squad QB.

That's what makes the NFL the best league. The way contracts are structured...pretty hard to get 53 men and a half dozen coaches to just straight up quit or tank. I've seen teams who people think are "tanking" play really hard in the last few weeks of the season

Hit the nail on the head with defense; they must be furious. They're playing lights out, and only getting better, and the offense can't do their end of the job. Which all starts with the QB...or in our case, lack there of.

im a massive wandale Robinson fan, I think he has the ability to be a deep threat despite his size and we have seen what he can do in the short game. give him a better qb or put him in a better situation and he is a wr2 who can close in on 1000 yards and 6+tds. My vote is for him to be our new wr2 and I believe he deserves to be one somewhere and extremely underrated

Yeah jones isn’t good. The thing is that it’s the front offices fault that jones is still here. He was a projected 3rd rounder but we took him in the first round at number 6. We should’ve let go of him after the 2022 season.

It’s just plain inconsistency. I enjoy watching him play well, he has the ability to elevate his teammates and be a good quarterback, but he doesn’t. It’s not worth $40 million to keep a Daniel Jones when he’s constantly being out preformed by rookie quarterbacks like Jayden Daniel’s and Caleb Williams while it’s his 6th year in the league. He still makes rookie mistakes.

I'd like to add, the stats don't tell the whole story. You add a QB that doesn't miss open receivers and can throw an accurate deep ball to this offense and they can compete. You add a QB that doesn't kill drives and constantly throw short of the sticks on 3rd, and your defense spends less time on the field, gives up less points, looks EVEN MORE DOMINANT.

I'd say that there's plenty of consistency from Jones. He consistently loses primetime games. He consistently loses games on Mondays and Thursdays. He consistently lets his team (who is playing better than he is) down. He needs to GO. I'm sick of this expensive experiment.

Jones is giving league average qb play. The problem is a lack of talent on offense. Look at our skill position players. Which ones scare a defense? Which ones force 8 men in the box or rolling coverage their way. That’s the real problem with this offense-lack of blue and red chip talent.

I didn't know 6 points wins us last game. i wish the kicker made those 2 field goals so the score could be 17-13 give me a break jones missed 4 deep throws, and missed slayton because of an underthrow as well. Also threw a bad pass to wandale causing that drop, also threw a pass at the johnson feet which he caught miraculously.

Daniel Jones is not the guy that's going to put together a game winning drive when the team needs it most. As fans we have gotten so accustomed to Daniel Jones playing poorly that the bar is set so low that anytime he looks decent we take it as something greater than what it really is. We need a consistently good QB with clutch ability. Not a average QB that has good games every once and awhile. Daniel Jones has only thrown for 4 touchdowns twice and 5 touchdowns once in his entire NFL career, and they were all in 2019. Since then Daniel Jones has never thrown for more than two touchdowns in any game after 2019. That by any rationally minded thinking, discerning person who knows football is not the performance numbers of a good starting QB. Bottom line. My NY Football Giants will become an explosive offense when we get a play maker of a QB. We can't win many games scoring under 30 points.

We're back and forth every year with ourselves. it's the only thing worth talking about since "WE'RE NOT WINNING!!!"We're still under .500 and in last place in our division. What's changed with our win/lose column from last year to this year? But I do disagree with benching him. He's paid to be a starter. The Broncos didn't bench Russell Wilson until week 15 last year.

Even the injury clause makes it where you're not only not forced to play him, but you benefit from him being benched. He sits and stays healthy, passes a physical in the spring and the Giants move on. DJ is the stop gap we're looking for. He may be a stop gap to the next stop gap, but playing him this year allowed them to build a much better roster with Malik. I don't see it as admitting defeat but admitting that you knew there was a strong chance he wasn't "the guy"

To be honest, Daniel Jones is not doing as bad as last year. But he is throwing it to people that are COVERED. But he does way better in the road than at home. He feels so much pressure when playing in front of the fans. Also, he does keep over throwing the ball but he is not all that bad over all. Our kicker on the other hand, he keeps on missing field goals and should be cut from the team, the kicker made us loose 2 games now right? We should try to get a better STARTER kicker and not back up. Also, if this coach doesn’t step up his game, he should be FIRED.

Choices @ QB are not good… but I suspect teammates love Jones because of how hard he works. Jones vs. Seahawks and Jones vs. Bengals looked like 2 completely different QB’s-why is that?? Smart kid, but can’t see the field fast enough? Can’t pull the trigger fast enough? Afraid of making mistakes? Gun shy after too many hits these past years? All of the above??

jones is a #2 and he hit the lottery with this contract and good for him for being able to get it. Personally, I will never understand why the Giants' front office was willing to negotiate a contract that lucritive knowing it would result in a high probability of Barkley leaving for our f**king nemesis, the Eagles for what amounted to a million bucks. Most front offices with an ability to effectively negotiate and recognize talent are obsessed with ensuring they get the best bang for the team's buck when negotiating with all skill levels , while still protecting the key players that both fans & ownership love. I can't imagine any of these teams being that interested in Danny Dimes enough to be willing to let their star RB entertain offers from divisional competitors to get into a bidding war , and "steal" him away from the Giants, and if they did, who would care where he went?? Imagine if the situation was reversed and the Eagles QB was Danny Dimes and a healthy Saquon Barkley was the prodigal son and the backbone to their team's offense, and beloved by the entire city. Does anyone believe the Eagles would give Jones the same contract which would also leave them 1 mil short from being able to keep Barkley on the team? Not to mention, there was a chance they could lose him to the Giants?. I dont think it would ever happen

Why are giants fans obsessed with DeVito? 3 wins, 2 of those against bum teams that had a lot of turnover. Also we won against the Pats due to a missed field goal. And the other one against a team with a bad defense that fired their dc! I’ll give SOME credit to him. He was sacked 9 times against Washington and still came out with a win. And he showed up big in that primetime game against the Packers. Only 158 yards and a touchdown but that’s good for him. And he played hero when Barkley had that costly fumble. That’s literally it! He’s never been good. Fans are just obsessed with that dumb hand thing. I’m tired of romanticizing these bad players. I’m tired of the stupid nicknames. I’m tired of accepting mid. I still want the giants to draft a QB and have him start and next year. Just saying Devito was fun to watch and beating the packers on prime time was the highlight of the season. All I’m saying is put him in he has nothing to lose. Wins and loses won’t change my mind that we draft a QB. So why don’t we have some fun with this dead season because until DJ is not the starter we will always finish towards the bottem

You know what? I felt like we were getting better, then we lost Nabers and Singletary, but at this point, the season is gone if something doesn’t flip, maybe Drew Lock will flip it. It’s catastrophic if he doesn’t, but it’s catastrophic anyway. Ive changed my mind, give Drew Lock a shot. I think there’s an I told you so in the end result for this season, but I’ll save it for then.

The question I want to know is do you want to bench him cause he is not the best option to win, or do you want him to be benched to win more games? Cause if we win more games we lose the ability to draft a QB that everyone is in love with in this draft. So I don’t get it. Do we want to win or we want to get a high draft pick? We can’t have both. I get it Jones is not on everyone good list right now but I can say until he’s benched I support him playing it out. Any Qb who is out there I support cause I want to win, if we don’t then it is what it is. We will have to live with it and move on next year.

Start Drew Lock. Save the injury guarantee. Running like a full back doesn't will the locker room. The team is built for a qb not DJ. Plan should draft a qb have a vet to hold it down. Release DJ at year end save cap and work from there. Draft was good this year. Work from there.

i wanted to give DJ the beneift of the doubnt. But i now doubt- strongly- that he can lead the gianlts. I would not want him to get hurt and he will given his style of running. He has heart but at this point he needs to be benched.
