Fantastic you got him to share, please do more of this. Also good interview skills you let him talk (you normally talk a lot). Nice to see his second act in life. Would be good to learb more of hia life lessons.
Good find and some great questions. Would be even more amazing if gave the legend time to talk, think and answer. Listening is a powerful skill and one we can all do well to learn.
I have only seen a couple of your shows. They have come up with out searching and like this one caught my attention. Because one it's professional, and two it's interesting. I am going to keep an eye out for your programs and if they continue to remain both professional and interesting, I am going to subscribe and follow it. This is the type of program that can make the idea of visiting and or living in Thailand something to think about. Keep up the great programs and keep them professional and interesting.
Brian Jacks is an inspiring legend for all Brits who were kids or older during his time in the UK and remember Superstars. Is there any other Brit or Europeans who live in Pattaya with the same combination of national awareness AND integrity that commands such respect?
Great interview. Good to catch up with Brian's interesting activities and please he's enjoying life. As an ex judoka I'm Looking forward to 2021 Olympics. Keith Lister
What a great interview such a lovely bloke.Actually went to have a look at his apartments but he wasn't there because he gone to a wedding but hope to go again and have another look.
TOP interview with some good advice... I have seen a lot that dont plan properly & when shit hits fan, $ pound drops, lots of tears. Plan Plan Plan watch & learn
hi when Brian was talking about golf, ive played many times in Pattaya, budget for 2,500 baht all in atm , also you should sign up with one of the numerous ex pat golf bars/societies, several around and about soi buokao area. cheers
Brian Jack's has a couple of hidden talents he does magic tricks and make huge English pies the size of dinner plates he sells frozen from his Pattaya Resort he owns ask to see inside his chest freezers there all full of his home made pies. Very good value they are full of meat with a great crust.
Fantastic interview thanks for sharing. He's correct retiring in Thailand is fantastic but you need to plan your finances. If you are around 60 and want to stay there permanently. I estimate the pension pot needed will be around $1,000,000 USD or £770,000 GBP This figure is inclusive of any pension or miscellaneous income. So before the neg-ferrets start sagging that figure off they need to think first: 1 - Retired but you have just lost your earning potential FACT 2 - Brain had open heart surgery in Thailand. If you were in Thailand with no insurance that is going to cost you $40, 000 USD 3 - If you live to just 80 their 1,000,000 dollar's is only $50k or £37.5k per year gross. 4- within those figures most people need health insurance, home to live, transportation, ongoing investments, maintenance and enough money in the bank to live not just to exist. The Thai THB is around 40 to the GBP at the moment. By 2025 the forecast is 25 THB to 1 GBP.
