My old man had a Commer when I was a kid. Loved it. One of my earliest memories is the stick-on steering wheel I attached to the dashboard on the passenger side. Seat belts? Forgetaboutit..
This is the thing about Dave Grohl for me: behind the dozens of albums, the millions of pounds, the fame, the fortune - he is just like one of us... :o)
Brian does this show where he meets all these famous people But HE is the biggest star of them all Hey Brian - Thank you for everything See you (again) very soon in Vienna and Bratislava
The first one I saw get out of a van was Animal from the Anti Nowhere League as he stepped out in front of CB's in NYC, and the funny thing was he has on all this punk rock regalia and adornments, but he's wearing flip flops...made us laugh.
I had a cool band van experience when we went to see Nazareth with some guys who were roadies of course they were in an expensive tour bus with 2NXS on front top plate the opening band Cobra on the other hand pulled up in nondescript white Ford econoline van back doors open up old mattress loud music fast food trash flying out along with guitarist Ritchie Sambora and the rest of the band...I was 15 it was an unforgettable sight.
@@marcopoulin1897 mine 1983 in IL they as in the whole band were slamming small buckets of beer the whole time it was a great performance in many ways lol
I dated Dave's sister in college! Took them to a Tom Petty concert at Poplar Creek. Nice kid I was rude to him in '92 and told him Nirvana was a stupid name!
@@metsot that is the point! How nice someone finally gets the point of such tales. Jesus told a twisted tale That is what put the spin on the shaft that allowed the point to reach the target way in the future.
1.00 minute in & i have to comment I've got a van that any self respecting upstart rock group had in England , a 1968 flat front mk1 transit with twin sliding doors im currently restoring
2.23 Brian lost another 10% of his hearing and so did I....FFS Dave I know it’s exciting to chat to Brian but simmer down, I’ve got head phones on here 🤣🤣🤣
Love these videos, but I bloody hate those VW camper vans! I know three people who each own one, an all 3 people are the worst kind of pond life!!! Both Dave's vans are pretty cool tho. As are Dave and Brian. They both seem so level-headed.
Absolutely incredibly amazing those 2 together r my all-time favourite bands. & the most down to earth people. I love still how excited they get talking about the memories. They never lose where they have come from. They look & sound like they always have. & never ever let fame get to there heads. Well done congratulations to them both 😊
Hi Brian & Dave, Vans!! Yes they do get under your skin as for me they all have been work vans and they all have been called Lilly, im now on Lilly the 3rd! She is a white lwb Ford transit custom and i love it. It is home from home to me.. the office and where we operate our Cleaning buisiness. I have pre warned my wife when i do retire it will be a van thanks xxx
