Wonderful, Brian and Kerry! Hits you right in the heart, and brings tears to your eyes. Brian, you may be right about your comment: "Songs are all about the singer !!!" I would add however, that ROCK IS ALL ABOUT THE SCREAMING, ROCKING, THUNDEROUS EXPLOSION OF THE GUITAR! and no one in Rock History did Rock Guitar better than you Brian May!! I might also add that Kerry has done a pretty good job of providing vocals behind that Screaming Guitar of yours!! Verona paid testament to that!

This song has such a wonderful back story!!! It was written by a guy who'd captained a slave ship for decades, and then one day just had a true, full-on "Paul on the road to Damascus" moment, and dedicated the rest of his life to abolition. Beautifully done! One of my very favorite songs. When I am uncertain, or feeling down, this is one of my favorite go to songs. I love “when we’ve been here 10,000 years, bright shining as the sun, (Son), we’ve no less days to sing God’s praise than when we first begun”. Such joy and promise in those words.

I went to Queen’s presentations in London, purchased all the LPs. Then I moved to the US for my university studies and was able to go to a couple of concerts in NY in 1976. I later worked in Brazil and was lucky to get a ticket to the concert in São Paulo in 1981. The anticipation, enthusiasm, and excitement about being able to get to the concert were overwhelming and I did not even blink having to face the largest crowd I have ever seen at that Morumbi stadium! I returned to London and again went to all your concerts at Wembley. Music has always been my great love, as well as my late partner’s love. Eclectic music - and Queen offered exactly that and much, much more. The music experience was always exhilarating! Years have gone by and events happened since, it is now another phase - and I still carry on following you, Brian. You have continuously brought us magnificent and brilliant music! Your art, your musicality, your compositions, your innovations, and your performances are awesome! I also follow you in your area of cosmology, whenever I can. - Thank you for your enormous contribution to the world and to millions and millions of fans like me.
