I love this man from the beginning. I grew in the early 60’s to now. And the first time I heard him sing. I knew he and the rest of his siblings were just that good. So glad he is headed in the right direction. Such a sweet and beautiful man.
God inspires the DeBarge Family's music. They are respected by many singer-songwriters and musicians who are amazed by their gifts. I'm glad that El is taking complete responsibility for his drug use here. That's the first step of healing/deliverance that many people skip! I pray that God keeps him and his family saved because they have powerful testimonies of His grace (Bobby included!).
I found absolutely fascinating to hear El talk about his songwriting his connection with his family musically. It's an amazing time. I will always be fascinated with Debarge. I love u El. You have the most amazing voice.
El is so humble and he knows where his strength comes from. I applaud him for accepting God's love and moving forward with his life. His family surely had their trials and tribulations and they are further proof to God's love.

El Debarge, and his family are so talented..They all seem, to be very humble..Its like, they can't believe how much people genuinely, love them and their musical talents. but we do love them. I remember this. Before watching this, I didn't even know El was back. Neither did I know he was doing drugs or in prison but 22 years removed from the hell and back, he's living his life.

The best song i have EVER heard El de Barge sing , is the Andre Crouch classic " The Lord is my light " ...alongside the Clarke sisters... He has sung some amazing songs but this one is my favourite

Song title of "Steely Dan" hit...describing addiction I finally discovered while researching the songwriters and their private life struggle with friends who'd O.D.'d and addicted..so many in that industry may make $$ for awhile, but a "DeLorean" type move didn't work for John either, memory recalls...glad he made it through though. Sure it was quite the struggle to find himself authentically. So worth it, IMHO. Old interview, I know...hope he's still doing OK, 2020...a Corona year to remember one day...
