Good evening, beautiful followers. I'm late to join the party on this one 😮. Love Brian McKnight. On a separate note, the Tribute to Lionel Ritchie. Brian McKnight absolutely smashed 'Truly', (Lionel was in the audience) I was blown away by Brian's rendition. To all of you beautiful people, stay blessed ❤
Brian acknowledges Stevie by saying that when he first heard Stevie, (paraphrasing) he had to rethink his whole approach to song writing. More or less saying that he looks up to him big time.
i think the head movements are more of a tribute. Given Brian McKnight's history in terms of how polite and respectful he behaves in live shows and stuff, i am sure this was done in good faith, and perhaps a bit of good fun as well. No harm done, honestly. Stevie would have probably enjoyed that.
Just coz Stevie is blind doesn't mean he can't be mimiked. It made the song even more enjoyable. No real artist would take the piss - Stevie would probably love it. Brilliant
People are always so quick to compare one artist to another. The man was just showing the world that he too, has been a fan of Stevie and obviously have studied Stevie musical skills. As music fans, lets just sit back, shut up, and listen to the good music that is in front of us.
What a great and funny tribute to stevie. Brian was just mimicking stevie and If only stevie could see this, he'd totally laugh so hard and get amazed at the same time. 😂
Mr. McKnight, U.S. misses you madly. NOT because of your King Wonder rendition. Much more so because of EVERYTHING else you've ever done. I miss you. You were one of the sweetest soundtracks of my life. Thank you.
I remember buying Brian McKnights first album...... nd at that very moment he became my fav. R&B singer nd has been since.... God Bless you Brian nd your Fam.
Heard lots of artist try to sing this song, and he’s the only one I’ve heard to come close to the way Stevie sang it. He wasn’t adding any extra to the song like most. He just song it the way it’s supposed to be song. He did his thing
The head turning here is because he is authentically *CHANNELING* Stevie's Artistry.. I love it. It's in the music.. can't help but channel it all through for the performance honestly
All I've got to say is "WOW". I clicked on this video, not really expecting much, and was pleasantly surprised. He sounds great, I never thought he had that good of a voice but he certainly nailed one of my all time favs.
