A little more detail on how they move would be nice, but maybe you have to first prove that you've realized how they move via a later puzzle before it'll tell you, as a reminder only. The way each individual line says "new" suggests the lines were unlocked one at a time, at least, so it doesn't seem impossible there'll be more description later. 16:50 Well, my expectation there was a rightward move, so it's not just "get aligned if it's 1 square off, otherwise move the big direction". Maybe they have "near" and "far" chase behaviors that are separate from each other? 19:20 Ahh, there we go. The current facing matters. I don't think I'd have ever figured that out, honestly.
