this Iron Man guy situation is like when you're smoking in a park or something and then a homeless person comes sit next you and will not leave or shut up.
I found Brian's story about doing podcasts in the early days to be one of the most interesting stories he told. Smoking with his friends in a parked car at a Church, with a tape recorder, recording their conversation. It sounds a lot like Getting Doug, but way before the internet was even a thing. But all Doug had to say about it was "that was a long story".
I know these episodes are Wicked old but lately I've been getting "Doug" at night and then sitting back and enjoying these "Getting Doug with High" podcasts.
For those of you unfamiliar with Tony or Brian, and are here just as a listener of Doug's show. You might be shocked to find out that the Comic Patriot was so impressed with himself and his appearance here, that he quit his gig with Tony Hinchcliffe, claiming he's outgrown them, and is going to move on to greater things. This trainwreck, to him, was a victory.
Its kinda sad. Just a weird Asperger's dude that doesn't pick up on social cues. But at least his suit is somewhat decent and he can make money from tourists on Hollywood Blvd.
I just listened to Kill Tony #35 and Tony said the Patriot left. The Patriot was quoted as saying that he was "Too big for the show" and that he would wait on Tony's phone call to work for him on Comedy Central or Jash. The Patriot asked Doug to be a regular on this show and Doug said there was "No chance of that happening!" That is way funnier than if he just got fired.
Dude that "allright, power down" had me rollin. It was like watching The Fonz turn on the jukebox. Bravo. And it came just as i was wishing you would.. just brilliant!
How did i just find this episode now? I guess some just slip through the cracks. But this was very funny. Getting Iron Man/comedy Patriot high. Ha Ha Ha! Great Episode all around. I love how there are 420 dislikes. Classic. LOL!
LoveMuffin He said to do that at 7:50. Although he may forget about that later in the video. I haven't finished it yet. Also! Tony had a good idea. High history and also highest history.
Doug the show's awesome however this one was kind of lame. That robot was captian lame and those 2 dudes were debby downers. P.S. get cooler people on the show
Iron Man or whatever the fuck his name is was weird as hell. Uber awkward and I felt bad cause he seemed like the nerdy kid hanging with preps or something, though Doug only really gave off that attitude. A weird episode, made me feel a little on edge with a dude moving back and forth in the background. When I'm baked and with a bunch of people sitting down smoking bongs, if someone's standing it shits me to no end. You gotta be sitting! I know he can't with that suit but damn man.
Also happened across this video again and the fact that he said "female brother" makes me shudder. Definitely gotta have autism or something, cause I don't think anyone with normal social etiquette would ever say that on a show like this. Sexist and racist, phew. Damn.
+KidsWithGuns1992 Kinda like when rich people make fun of poor people? I think they should have just got him a chair to turn backwards and squat on right? Or a stool and a long straw
john papple Yeah I would get it if I felt it was intended to be a joke, but I feel quite strongly he wasn't making one because seems to have that way of talking strangely anyway,
That'd be hilarious. Patriot fucking knew his shit about movies. Redban was doing his best to help him smoke, that was awesome. Ohhhhh Comic Patriot, I'll never forget you. Keep it up man
Cody Jungers I'd never heard of any of the guys here until recently (discovered Benson through the Nerdist), so to use your derogatory term, they're all 'Nobodies' to me, but I think the patriot was funnier than any of the other guys in this show, at least he made an effort. Lets have more Comic Patriot!
if you think dabs hurt you throat you haven't had properly purged oil. Try getting some de waxed shatter from some like rump wax, brutal bee, prime extractions or a similiar prop 215 extraction artist.
He may not be what most Americans would consider a star, but Mark Emery would make a great guest. Drop some REAL high history on ya'll. I know I'm not the only American to have heard of this guy.
Emery was in 'Super High Me', and Doug was a total piece of shit and dismissed him as boring. They cut most of his interview down to a few second-long clips.
Redban lipsynching when the patriot is talking is one of the funniest things ive seen him do, he shoulda kept going with it... and why is tony dressed like the Joker?
Am I the only one who was hoping that, after every break, they'd come back on-camera and Comic Patriot would have a large number of dents in his armor? Seriously...off-camera, go nuts...but this is a production. Hold your personal commentary.
Yea, its sad. The first couple episodes of Kill Tony, he was very quiet, and so when he said something, it brought a genuine laugh or applause, and he came off as a really good guy. But then he quickly started speaking constantly, and that completely derailed any chance he had. I understand he wanted to have a career, but that was not the way to do it. If anything, he should have just been going up on stage to do standup, instead of trying to shoehorn himself in during every episode.
@@BattleBladeWarriorwanna know whats even sadder? He was my uber driver a few days ago. I have never heard of Kill Tony or any of this, until he talked about it non stop for an hour. He kept on going on about how he was one of the main crew in the beginning and how he has not heard from the rest of the guys in a while but he is not worried, as he is sure he will be introduced to the wall of fame soon. At the time, it sounded like he had a big thing going, and like as if he got betrayed. Doing research after the ride, proved a whole different story
Doug was stoked until the "female brother" comment was made. But Doug ran out of patience when patriot asked whether or not he uses the internet to smack it. Then Doug just wanted to keep the show as unoffensive as possible which was hard when asked about the "bitches in cities." You can't be mad at doug for wanting to keep his sponsors happy.
he was used to be on a 90 minutes show which has no censorship at all, then it's their fault not explaining to him what types of things he can not talk in here
TheThrasher707 I dont know what kind of high ass pokemon you played but confusion just makes it a 50/50 chance that the pokemon will attack itself and it can last up to 5 turns....why i still know all this i do not know
Well we all know someone doesn't always look like he fully inhales. Hehe shots fired (but only in defense of iron patriot, who I can tell prob seems a little out of tune when it comes to social interaction, but there was no need to treat him that way)
What? I get to be the first to post "he doesn't inhale"? Lol. Just kidding i know he inhales maybe not the entire hit, but the remainder is in order to linger in his mouth throat and nasal passage. That way he can enjoy the taste and aroma as well. Appreciating the plant to its fullest. The way most old school smokers smoke. Much love to doug and his great smoking style.
Yea, unfortunately, I think a lot of the "pull" for this episode was due to Tony and Redban (from Kill Tony fame) or people coming hear after hearing about the Iron Patriots fast road to ruin (also from KillTony)
I didn't get the thing with Comedy Patriot - could anyone explain? Being douchy with him wasn't funny in my eyes (think Andy Kaufman/Tony Clifton), but then again, I've just started watching Doug and I've never heard of Comedy Patriot before. From my perspective, Patriot was excited to be on the show, and Doug was just being a douche, but then again, I wouldn't know...
