I've seen Brian Regan a couple times at the Chan Centre in Vancouver. The second time I saw him, I laughed so hard for so long, the next day I had persistent abdominal pain and had to spend the morning in bed. Only time in my life I've had a laugh hangover.
I'm about the same age as Brian so I can definitely relate to the "that's where it doesn't hurt" bit. IMO he's the best stand-up comedian ever. It's hard to think of one (besides Jim Gaffigan) who's been both clean and consistently good over a long period of time.
I saw Brian Regan at Radio City when he did his live special on comedy central. It was a great night that ended with a Gimlet at Sardi's. It was fantastic. I love New York!
This guy does classic old-school jokes with set-ups and punchlines. Good ones, too. That means his material will age very well, like Rodney Dangerfield.
Comedy Central is the reason he has a career; they started putting him on TV in the 90's, and until a few years ago they were the ones airing his specials.
He has made a carear without using blue material... and its interesting- because he overall has such a tight set and accents the same important points- but he increases volume rather than using a "shock value" I love everyone from burr to jeselnek... but Brian can really pull off a set without that element. He has done what sienfeld failed miserably at.
I totally didn't get the first few seconds of the joke? You go a Dr and they ask what's going on. That sounds about right are they supposed to guess what's wrong with you?
Heard Bill Burr say a couple years ago that this guy was his favorite comedian... since then I've checked out his specials and he never disappoints. Fantastic work.
Saw a video sherry Kris rock said, no one wants to follow Brian. And yes Seinfeld said Brian is his favorite. On comedian and coffee he made Jerry get a belly laugh
Last winter, before the fall, me and my wife and unkle ted, took my three daughters to see a real comedian. One of the greatest. To teach them the wicked ways of men and what life would be like. Haven't seen my 3 girls or Mr Cosby since.

@@KM-ch2wc well watching Brian Regan is a hobby of mine especially when I had knee replacement surgery so thanks for knocking how I choose to recover from a major surgery
I've always said it! I am a family doc and always told my cousin who is a vet, "I am not comprehending how you are doing it, I have a hard time remembering everything in one body system!" Hats off to veterinarians!
See him in Dallas in the late 90’s at a small comedy club...no idea who he was until later...”Hey, I saw that guy when he was a no body”-type thing. Brilliant comedian.
bit of Brian Regan trivia - yes the dude was literally a pro football prospect: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-IrwSlzlrsyM.html Brian Regan More Than Just a Comedian | NFL FIlms Presents
Not to be a contrarian, cuz I love brian regan, but there are specialist veterinarians. My sister is a equine cardiologist. Large animal cattle, horses... or small animal, dogs cats....then exotic. Most veterinarians don't do complicated surgery, etc.
Brian is always on point in perfect form! Ironically, I once had to take a cat to a feline dermatologist at a university vet school, so I guess speciality vets do exist. His office was just down the hall from the wildebeest gastroenterologist, no doubt!
There was a question on the BBC's QI programme about which profession had the longest training period and one of the panelists said it must be veterinary since they might be asked to treat anything from a stick insect to racehorse. (That was the wrong answer, by the way.)
