The first footage looked like Santana's old drummer (from Woodstock) Michael Shrieve was on drums? Cool footage with Dave Edmunds and then Dickey Betts. This is most likely in 1986 during Setzer's first solo tour - which I saw in Boston - in April 1986. That is Chuck Leavell on keyboards on "Rock This Town".
@@JRAFF145 That was my first time seeing Brian Setzer. I had only moved to New York from Ireland about 9 months previous. I went on to see him 23 times - between his various solo stuff, the Stray Cats and the Orchestra. 😊
@@Uchube-24 You got me beat on that - first show was in 1983 - Stray Cats Syracuse, NY - saw a very early Orchestra show in Boston either late 1993/early 1994 - many others - got several high fives from him while up front. One incredible show was a free outdoor Orchestra show in Government Center Boston - approx. 1999.
Nice, man! Great insight into Brian's late 80's identity crisis, when he tried to grow up beyond that punky rockabilly stuff, and become a thoughtful, socially-aware roots rocker like Mellencamp or Springsteen. Good thing it didn't work! then we wouldn't have gotten the BSO!
