Brian Torner and Brigitt Mayer placed second in the 1993 World Showdance competition in Bonn, Germany, in their second year of partnership. To connect more fully with the music, the dress has New York's distinctive Chrysler building depicted in stones on the front and the Statue of Liberty on the back. This number was choreographed by Oliver Wessel-Therhorn. Brigitt is author of the book Ballroom Icons.
