Looks like a really cool job. What was it like when they asked you to make a theme for the Ninja Turtles? Are there times when the production team is not sure what they want?

I have to admit, when I first saw the link to this, I was expecting an orchestral arrangement of the classic TMNT cartoon theme. Instead I get one of my favourite movie tracks for a very long time. I listen to your work almost every day.

I've always thought this theme is a bit too dramatic and grandiose for the Turtles, at least for me. Seems like it would be great for a Marvel or DC theme. The original 1990s TMNT movie score was amazing. Some parts have aspects of their youth and goofiness , seriousness and determination in others, and respectful hints of Splinters and Shredders Japanese origins. It also really captures the close knit family feeling that the original movie displayed in such a great way. Especially the emotional music that plays when Splinter counsels Rapheal about his temper. It's been posted to RU-vid after so many years. Check it out if you haven't.

I love it when composers conduct their own music. It imbues the final product with such a profound degree of enthusiasm and personality. And watching it is always a treat: the entire orchestra slave to the flight of the baton, musicians frenetically yet masterfully commandeering their instruments to play their disparate parts and form a majestic whole.

While awesome it in no way makes me think of TMNT.

My favorite part of this video is the ff part of the song (2 min. 25 sec.) where Brian's music becomes so epic, one of the violinists lifts himself from his chair to really bring as much sound as possible. lol, I love the enthusiasm from this guy, while some of the other violinists look bored out of their minds.

Your work is amazing, however, this time it's like the turtles are like tanks, that's why you wrote this master piece. I really really like all of your works, i have so much hope about Avengers 2, when you, in Thor Dark World, use the Alan Silvestri stuff for the cameo of Captain América, that was amazing, i hope you still doing that kind of stuff. From a simpler musician for a master musician like you, thanks for all of it.

This soundtrack would have been WAY better for MAN OF STEEL - HANZ Zimmer score was OK, but This had more or a substantive hero VYBE to it... It also had allot of crescendos which valuated the premise of MAN OF StEEL and what he is about... WB dropped the ball here... This was a massively missed opportunity for them... Always go with the underdog....

Great to know that you're working with Michael Bay on TMNT. If for whatever reason Steve Jablonsky cannot score Transformers 5 (hoping not), you'll definitely be a great second choice. Maybe you could combine the feel Steve goes for and other Transformers films along with the feel of your music from Transformers Prime.
