@@luchomcmenu564 Just to be clear, this will not break berserk, but make you change focus (W near Champ -> Berserk Champ -> Q a minion or monster -> You are now berserk against what you q'd

your W changed focus to Ashe and Anivia instead of jungle camps because it detects targets independent of vision (it can target invis teemo) and prioritizes champions

Your r berserk will always target the closest thing to you if your prey is untargetable

I think you have it with this! I also realized that with her low ult cooldown, pretty much anytime you think the enemy jungler is doing an objective, you might as well just throw your ult to the place that pretty much everyone tanks baron/dragon and if they're there you're pretty much guaranteed a kill or a steal. And that's regardless of if you have vision of the objective or not.

There will definitely be highlight reels of Briars missing their intended ult targets and hitting a different enemy far away, like in base LOL This champ's design is so weird. Not necessarily in a bad or good way, just weird.

She would make a great powerfarmer, just jungle, and fish for ults.

I think that if you use Stridebreaker, the slow should give you enough time to charge the E :D

Wished something else scaled with AP because just one ability is probably not viable , you would probably want to build her with protobelt to get esier ways to land her scream and probably lich bane for damage

They'll probably start a camp with W and if she starts to chase someone out of vision then they're left with 2 options, E out of W to run away with the early warning or Q the camp to continue because Qing something other than a champ makes that your W target instead of champs.

Yeah looks like a gwen situation where her kit is just ridiculous so she's probably gonna have horrible stats to make her balanced

​@@GodspamitEven if Briar is fed, she has no reliable way to target enemy backlines. You'll probably frenzy onto the tank and get bursted by enemy cc and dmg. I don't see her being viable unless she gets overtuned numbers.

@@Godspamit Despite her near global ult range, she will probably spend a lot of time flanking for a good ult angle, and i can see her being a good jungle sidelaner as well. Her turret taking power is mid but her dueling power is pretty high.

maybe, her ult being a massive aoe fear does put it in the realm of super ults, even if behind one good ult in the middle of a team fight could impact the rest of that game, plus she also has 2 stuns on her normal abilities so she can lock down one target which still provides use for the team.

Sounds like the ult's beserk works a little differently from W beserk and they just need to fix the prioritise order when you can't attack your current target

It's intentional I believe. Your ult is supposed to be a "You die or I die" sorta scenario unless you cancel it with her E. At least that's what it seems like to me.@@RetroCube

Her main ability w causes her to lose control and she will just run at the enemy champion until you press e. So you can't get on top of people and you can't farm against ranged because you're q stun is a super short ability. So basically you're just extremely kitable while also your damage is kind of just mediocre when you do get on top of them

@@PekinWoof To be fair, her Q is a really strong counter-engage against ranged in lane, if you manage to stall the wave near your turret. Instant dash in with a stun and a free W trade without an easy option to run from it. If you try for anything with a windup after she has chunked you and healed for it, she can cut the incoming damage and clap you back with E, before resetting to neutral for CDs, instantly disengaging with the push. Bait -> jump in with Q -> chunk and heal during W -> force disengage with E. It relies on everything going correctly and CDs (a bit fragile strat), but in concept is really dangerous. Also, Thornmail makes her cry. Also, you can try world's most jankiest insect kick by flashing and using E to push your enemy into your turret.

@@qwormuli77 her q isn't good counter engage cuz it's so short. It's like half the range of Quinn E. People don't get pushed by the E unless you charge for 1 second and the q into E combo isn't instant. Trust me it sounds easy to do but once u try her out ull get why lane is bad

@@PekinWoof Yup. R berserk has ton of extra stats, so cutting it with E or for W reactivation bite (you need to activate W berserk first) gives those up. I see what they were going for with that, but I feel like they maybe could have made it so that R is just the projective and you dash in by activating either Q or W while the R field is active (or maybe even both, either jumping in with the stun, or dashing in with the berserk).

@@PekinWoofI think it is a way to counterbalance the champion. She has some really strong stuff in her kit, so for it to be balanced she has a lot of downsides too (like the no health regen and the uncontrollability of W

@@dvarribass1063 Wasn't there a bug report about that? It's not supposed to, but that's what I understood. W replaces the ult buffed berserk with the regular, unbuffed berserk. There has also been some talk about the E not being supposed to cancel "certain death" -part about the ult, but so far I think that's unfounded. If not, that's amazing news.

She has a point and click stun and an ability where you literally cant control her anymore, naafiri has a decent skill ceiling just cuz her Q is a skillshot but this champ is legit just a braindead bruiser

@@bunu2081 Decision making is a hell of a lot more important on Briar than Naafiri. You literally can't control her at her strongest. The ability that snaps her out of it, and thus weakening her in a way, has a long cooldown, and despite its damage, is hard to land due to the charge up time. Naafiri, by comparison, has a much better neutral game with an assassin's strength of engage in regards to choosing a target without compromising choice or power. Also, anti healing. Nothing more I need to say there. Overall, still quite excited.

Yup, so unique Pekin listed all of her abilities being similar to other champs where on overall she feels like "Warwick" with lifesteal bit.

I was thinking the same thing with dark harvest and lethality. I’m not too sure how strong her w can get with that build but if it’s strong enough to lower them down before casting the second part, it could possibly be used as an execute. Using her Q can also help lower them to that point, but this build is probably more mid-late game

feels like a balance nightmare, like the slightest change can make her incredibly weak or incredibly strong

Could work, especially as her R gives pretty strong resists scaling with AD, meaning she seems to love both AD and health. And attack speed, but juggling so many competing stats is a bit awkward for the build.

I agree, all their recent champs have been stat slaves, one number up or down decides the champs fate.

Wait how are they similar? They both dive in and that's where their similarities end. None of their abilities are even similar. Naafiri is ability reliant while Briar is auto attacker. Naafiri is an assassin with limited neutral with her Q and doggos, while Briar has no neutral at all.

@@janstraka8674 I agree with you. If anything shes more like Sett, master yi and probs most apparent warwick. But tbh she seems to be most like old voli before the rework. A champion that can easily stat check but either pops off or is just killed. Naafiri is quite different. The only parrallels are the fact that both their kits use underutilized status effects. Ones got bleed and the other is the only other champion in the game that has berzerk. Oh and they both have a spell to jump in and both have an stat incraser. But loads of champs have those. Other then themeing I dont see the simularities..

@@clickthisforawsomnes While i dont agree with @Citybay1385's assessment, they are fairly similar. They BOTH have bleed, double dashes, executes, and their ults are very similar long range all in stat boosting abilities. The main difference being one is point and click, and one is a global skill shot. They both have excellent all in, but poor disengage. They definitely feel like distinctively different champs, but with similar strengths weaknesses, and opportunities.

So, what her R should've been like, if Riot could control itself from making every mage into a resetting, feast or famine burst kit? Boast about making a rare arty mage. Admit that you can't do it and say you made it into a warlock/BM instead. End up making just yet another burst mage with reset again. Argue against the community that the spade actually isn't a spade, but end up silently agreeing and changing her designation without any mention later. Classic Rito Gaems.

Axiom Arc? You posit that the R is so important to her kit? I was advocating more for Shojin. AD for scaling, health, MS and a lot of basic AH for her kit, as keeping abilities up to go in and get out is so integral for her loop. Cleaver is also obv great for her as is BorK, both to cut into the tanky builds rushing Thornmail to counter her. But why do you feel Axiom is so strong, I'm intrigued.

@@qwormuli77 Simple: her numbers are ridiculous. Axiom Arc allows her to chain kills not unlike Vex does with her ult, but the real meat of it is the ~700 damage explosion each time you arrive. Especially if you build assassin/marksman items and go for a Hail of Blades insta-kill playstyle, you can ult, pick off 2, and immediately look to launch another nuke at the enemy team. All this being said, I'm about as casual as you can get when it comes to League, so take everything I just said with a grain of salt

@@mythmage8231 There might actually be something nice there. Also, people disregard the R resists you get. A good amount of AD makes you get some ridiculous amounts of EHP.
