Try to sleep at or near gas stations, it's safer. In Latin America you are very easy to identify as a foreigner, it can be an advantage at some point and a disadvantage at others. Good luck man

Man you need some tools and know some basic mechanics on those engines. If you really want to complete that adventure you should stay with your mechanic and learn besides some youtube tutorials. Learn some methods to get out from the mod, roads are crazy awful in poor countries (I'm from Mexico) You will need some ropes or chains and a traction engine to attach to a tree to get out. Also be careful from floods. Other thing maybe you need to modify the suspension so the weight won't be a problem, and better and bigger tires. And take care from mosquitos man. Malaria is around from centralamerica. Good luck

You should really get a tow strap and keep it with out on your travels

Dude and First rule in Latin America... Don't give "papaya"! Meaning, don't be so stupid giving the chance to thieves to steal anything from you. So don't be filming so openly overall... Not in Argentina, no in Peru, not in Ecuador and neither Bolivia... Even worst in Central America. Do your trip but try to be more stealth. Don't be calling for attention everywhere. Sincerely... Man, im from Brasil and have travaled from Brasil to almost Chile by car, and I have to admit that above chile/argentina, you are probably gona have some problems with police like that. Im brazilian and also had to bribe a police officer once for nothing here in Brasil, so take care. Latin America is incredible, but have this kind of shit.
