Bricky, their sensory are related to heartbeat sensing. They can't hear machinery. So, if one gets hit, its heartbeat elevates and the other sense your increased heartrate from the charged swing. They then charge you because your melee swinging increases your heart rate.

GTFO is a game that *oozes* polish, but it's really not for the faint of heart. I'm so happy to see it getting more attention! Make sure you get a crew together, these levels don't pull any punches if you're alone. Unfortunately I lost my crew before checkpoints came out, these later levels are no joke, and losing 2 hours of progress to a bad final assault never felt nice. It's definitely not for everyone, but I'm very excited to see more!

41:30 activated my PTSD as my time as a novice minelayer. The sight of those two red lasers and Bricky standing so close gave me anxiety to the max xD. Go get em Bricky! This game is awesome and it keeps getting better the lower you go, and more difficult :).

Love this game. Even though it destroyed one of my friendships. They couldn't handle any type of failures and even if we communicated, the friend kept missunderstanding things and was taking the game waaaay too seirous in the wrong departments. Shame they had such a toxic personality when it came to games.

Talked way too much and repeated the same point over and over like 4 different ways after 1 mistake was made, until i said "dude, we got it, lets just keep moving" Some people are just a little too serious 😂

Apologies for the wall of text BUT this should help with understanding the game a bit if you haven't already been told this basic information I do suggest reading it if you really like this game and continue to play it. God whoever was telling you about the gear at the start is an idiot LOL heavy assault rifle is great, I love it! Sure they added more recoil to it this patch but granted it needed some nerf because it was pretty good damage to ammo ratio with little recoil. And yes all the melee weapons are different, each excel in a different category which is as follows, Spear has longer range, higher damage, longer charge up time, It is best to use against big sleeping enemies to hit them in the back of the head but you cannot sprint while charging it, all other weapons can. The bat is fast charge up time and decent damage, it can instantly break padlocks with no charge up time and has a high stagger chance on enemies, great for stun locking. The knife has a real fast charge up time and low damage however it excels in stealth play, it is quieter to kill with AND has a 2x damage multiplier to sleeping enemies which no other melee weapon has. And the hammer is your swiss army knife of melee weapons, it is great in every situation and is honestly probably the best considering in some scenarios other melee weapon can become a handicap in. Also one thing to note is when I said earlier to hit them in the back of the head the enemies hit boxes act like this, front body 1x damage, head is 2x damage, the back is 2x damage, and the back of the head does 4x damage, So always aim for head/back of head when killing enemies if possible and yes it works with the knife so hitting a sleeping enemy in the back of the head is 4x plus 2x sleep multiplier, not sure if it becomes 6x or if it's compounding tbh. GTFO is a pretty high skill game sort of like dark souls especially in later levels, however with that said knowledge is power and knowing how the game works helps a lot so don't be afraid to look up information or even ask me if you want, I'm pretty knowledgeable about this game. ALSO Don't worry to much about the lore right now you cannot experience the previous yourself so you would have to look it up HOWEVER they have claimed they will be bringing back the old rundowns in a "Interesting way" along with all the lore so you can experience it yourself when that happens and I suspect they will be doing a lore change/cleanup cause it is sort of all over the place with only audio files and emails containing the lore with this rundown actually having some live story elements rather then lore.
