Ah yes, people who help blind children vs people who help blind children I’m so glad to see bricky playing night lords on the channel, they’re one of the coolest chaos legions
Been subbed on my other channel for a couple years now, they helped me understand the flow and turn system of the game without taking up too much of my day. Absolutely love 40k in 40min.
I’m glad Bricky is making more of an appearance on this show. I thought it would be a one-time thing, but it looks like he’ll be doing multiple battles!
Well uh... hate to be the bearer of bad news, but Bricky played *maybe* three games with Play on Tabletop. POT is based in Canada, while Bricky is based in California (I think San Diego), this and the SOB battle is uh... well, a one-off, or rather a two-off
He might have flew out for a week or two so if he plays a battle every day he is there that could be as many as 14-28 battles but I doubt it would be that many Maybe at most 3-6 battles then bricky is probably gonna vacation somewhere for a bit
@Ben-fk9ey I mean, that's fair. Freehanding anything is rough, but it's just so iconic for them that I figured he'd have at least a little bit. The other irony is that I also paint Night Lords and I love painting the lightning. Doing all the patterns to make it look realistic is very fun to me, though messing up does mean redoing the main paint on that area
@@shanewatson4228 I also paint Night Lords! Looking at the new art that came out for the kill team I might experiment with having darker armour than I normally would. Then painting lightning streaks and then airbrushing or dry rushing around them to really make it pop.
@@MrYeetington He has a video talking about the incident, Bricky was in a shopping mall and a kid fell in front of him when he was walking and kicked him and got scared and ran away
Rewatching this a couple of months later. Still probably one of the best games ever played on the channel. Bricky is just a very entertaining dude and the game was extremely close and well played. And as a Salamanders Player myself I really appreciate seeing them on the table.
In that case I'd highly recommend his adeptus ridiculous podcast where he discusses warhammer 40k lore and all its "ridiculousness" or his other channels which is more gaming focused but has a few 40k bits here and there.
This was such a fantastic game to watch! Two absolutely great guys to play against one another. I loved the game against nick, and I so happy that you guys had the brick himself on for not one, but two games. I'm not one to normally comment but I just had to here. Great job all around guys!
Again, I love Bricky's energy and attitude. Whether here on on his own channel, I look forward to future battle reports he's involved in. Also, totally a fan of the edited "40 minute" format. I don't have 2-4 hours to watch game streams from other channels. Keep up the great work!
Round 3, Steve was firing Overwatch against the Raptors in the charge phase. According to the Stratagem you can only Overwatch once the unit starts or ends a charge move. So Bricky should have rolled the charge distance first, and only if he made the charge could Steve use the Overwatch Stratagem. I know that most of you have the old rules in mind and that this is just a oversight, but please make a note of the change.
Yes, was looking for this. That raptor would’ve made it in. Wouldn’t have changed anything mind, maybe 1-2 dead infernus marines & then adrax slaps it down; but yeah, if you fail a charge = no charge move is made therefore no overwatch.
@@thundergoat421_6 By the rules in 10th you cannot start a Charge move without a successful roll. It’s a minor change but a relevant one in terms of Overwatch.
Salamander and night lords are natural enemies. Just like raven guard and night lords, and dark angels and night lords, and night lords and other night lords. damn night lords, they ruined the night lords
This was an amazing game! Thank you so much for having Bricky on! I was so excited when he mentioned playing with y'all and it did not disappoint! Incredible job on the editing and production of this video as well!
I have to say, as someone who doesn't play the tabletop, I find myself constantly watching battle reports and turning them off 20 or 30 minutes in. The format that you edit your videos in makes it so much easier for me to watch and understand what's going on. Absolutely love it. Subscribed.
Whoever edited this did a fantastic job, the pacing, nice slow yet actiony music, cuts and edits felt just right. As a viewer this was exactly what I wanted from the video.
What a great game. Lots of back and forth and great showing of the new marine detachment as well as the chaos flair. The "Vuklan Lives!" battlecry is so apt in this matchup. Let's goooo
I like Bricky! He's got a good charisma and energy. Very fun to watch this match. I guess he's a youtuber according to other comments but I have not seen him before. He seems like a good fit for the channel.
He's great. Bricky has his own channel, but hes also part of a channel that uploads battle reports. They're called Dice Check you should check them out. Bricky also has a podcast called Adeptus Ridiculous where he discusses Warhammer Lore.
He started off as "I wanna shout out to the 3 Night Lords fans in the chat" to batting at the high leagues witha Night Lords bat. Such a character arc ;-;
This was educational for me. I never watched a game more than one turn, it was between two massive armies and the turns were boring. This is a cool setup with armies the right size for a hour game. The turns went fast and you explained a lot. It helps you both know the rules so well and aren’t hunting through pages for information. This makes me want to play now. That looked fun, not tedious
I don't know if it's the slightly quicker edits, Bricky or what but this and the other new episode are the snappiest and most enjoyable episodes back to back I think I've watched from PoT. Love it all!
I heared about bricky’s Nightlords in podcast. Great to see them in action! Great battle guys! Congratz on the win Steve! Enjoyed the battle a lot! ty!
Wow, this was great! Even though I have no clue how to play 40K I was able to follow this pretty well. Superb editing. Also, I love that Bricky's Night Lords are all standing in pools of blood.
What an epic battle, got to watch my boy Bricky go against the most space marine space marine in a match that was literally down to the wire. Now if only Steve could roll this well against Tak.....
As someone who is just beginning to get into the game, I’m beginning to actually grow fond of the salamanders. I’ve yet to play, but I like the heavy flame theme going on with them already. And this battle is enough to really show me what they can do! Keep it up!😊
So happy to see more of Bricky, hope you got to film more battles while he was there. But even if you didn't, these ones have both been real nail-biters.
Would like to say thank you to the team. Finding this channel has got me back into the hobby! I look forward to your videos daily! More Legion and kill team please ❤
Just started getting into 40k so forgive me if I’m out of the loop. But I thought the Salamanders were a loyalist legion? If so, how come they reference Nurgle favoring Steve’s Salamanders?
As Bricky kept failing his Dark Pact and hurting his own units it was just a liberty made by the commentator saying that it seemed like Nurgle was helping out the Salamanders.
Started getting more into the warhammer games as of late and I am glad I found this channel. Not sure i will be able to play real tabletop but its been fun watching these videos
I just recently started to get into Warhammer 40k lore, and I've never seen what the actual tabletop game looks like. So this was super cool, especially since the Salamanders are one of the coolest legions I've learned about so far, but to see how it actually works is cool. You gotta really know those rules though...😂 Like how many attacks each group/vehicle has and so on. But excellent video. In the name of Primarch Vulcan! Long Live The Imperium!!
It can definitely be intimidating and thankfully there are useful game aids to help with it. There are Datacards for all the units that are available in the codex (army rule book) or as separate purchasable cards. Also, VULKAN LIVES!
That was DEFINITELY a nail biter! These vids continue to impress and enthrall. Bricky is hilarious and I felt he paired well with Steve. Thanks again team!
Small note on when the Raptors tried to charge on to the Salamander Home Objective. You can only Fire Overwatch on a Successful Charge, since it is fired at "the start or end of the move", if you fail the roll you don't move
idk whats happened to me, but I can't stop watching these! I've never even played lol. And I've watched this match 3 times now haha. and I never rewatch stuff, but there's always something I miss.
Always great to see Bricky on anyone's channel! In a hobby that contains a lot of toxicity and intolerance his genuine goodness and charisma really shine through. Great call bringing him on the channel POT! Hope you bring him back again!
I love that Bricky whisper-yells 'flamethrowers' as he remives dudes from flamethower attacks. Got it in everyones heads Steve... I can tell you guys had fun this game.
