gale works cause he's the only character that does his gimmick. "Marvel Humor" isn't necessarily bad. It's just that when every character talks with the same quippy tone that it gets annoying.

Also, most people havent played as the other characters but strongly suggest it. They have quite a bit of different dialogs, situations and even characters in their stories. Shadowheart and gale were great playthroughs, learned so much more.

Bricky keeps pointing out how across the board the performances are really good. When that happens it isn’t some huge coincidence they all came out great, it’s Larian having phenomenal casting and voice direction. Each actor gets their props, for sure, but huge credit to Swen Vincke and whoever else assisted in that department.

I really liked the angle they went with before Wyll’s rewrite - in early access there was enough to suggest that Wyll was lying about his heroic origin and he was really more interested in revenge and personal glory and would do dishonourable things to hold on to his power (torturing a person)

Dude, the early exploration of BG3 is so fun. Specially if you're trying things out with the environment, seeing how spells work, testing dialogue trees and builds. Act 1 is also PACKED with easily missable content and questlines, it's kind of insane. Like a third to half of it. DnD 5E is really uninteresting as a system for combat imo, but most things around it feel amazing in BG3 if you're not trying to be optimal and roleplaying a bit. Which is all I can ask for tbh, Larian's powerful. Edit: Jfc Neil Newborn is so cool. He also goes into character so hard it seems effortless. The whole cast is amazing, but I'm glad he's been getting so much love.

I ran shart as 5 Beastmaster Ranger + 4 Vengeance Paladin + 3 Thief Rogue. Tons of rushdown and CC + sneak smites. Summon adds additional meat shield + CC for a fantastic party tank.

I can’t stop playing as a bard, I like every character in the party being unique and there’s no bards. Also it’s a great face if the party and I enjoy being a support class.

i am playing video games since i am around 6 years old on all possible platforms (i am 29 right now). i have played rather mainstream games like cod, fifa and forza but i have also played a huge ammount of roleplaying games like dragon age origins and kingdom come deliverance or even dungeon siege... even rather niche strategy games... also played wow since burning crusade and still play it today... you get the picture i basically played every genre. but oh boy let me tell you baldurs gate 3 is my most favourite game of all time BY FAR. i got every single achievment and even managed to beat honor mode first try, never ever have i collected so many ingame hours in a game in such a short amount of time and thats while i am an full time working adult now lol.

If you long rest too often you may miss out of some event and quests. Act 3 has a character that will die in a dungeon if you rest 5 times.

Personally i love gale, not only is he the most op party member he is an honest chill bro. Not only will traveling with him add endless shenanigans you can pull with him, he has a good story imo and was undoubtedly my first playthroughs pc's best friend outside of karlach (who i was romancing). Fuck the gale haters i say, let them miss out on the most powerful companion Edit: BTW shadowhearts firebolt cantrip uses int and not wis, aka it sucks on her. I usually respec all the companions to fix their stats and pick a better cantrip that doesn't care about casting stat like friends, blade ward, mage hand, light. since just like firebolt on astarion, I'm never gonna cast that I'm just gonna attack with a weapon for sneak attack damage so better to start with a more useful cantrip.

My rolls in bg3 are somehow worse than my 40k rolls. Makes the game truly infuriating sometimes.

6:00 "shot a barrel and downed 3 of my party" once I did that it was like a lightbulb moment and I began hunting down barrels. Explodey barrels are awesome! but normal barrels are good if you want to block line of sight- this comes especially in handy when breaking prisoners out of jail in some sections...barrelmancey...dont sleep on it :)

I was always against Lae’zel but then I did her romance and it was honestly, to me, the most touching. If you do another run I really recommend it. Glad to see you doing what you want though.

I'm only halfway through the video, but you asked if there are consequences to resting a lot. I ALSO THOUGHT THIS, but no you should rest, especially after major events, because if you dont you miss cutscenes and dialogue. I missed A LOT of cutscenes in act 1 and 2, and suddenly in act 3 I find I missed some relevant plot points. I recommend you don't do the same as me.

I'm currently on my 7th playthrough, and I gotta say, my last run was as a dark urge Open Hand monk, and holy moly is it a super powerful class... I won't give any spoilers, but I will say this: it may be a little scary to go the entire game without equipping proper armor, wearing nothing but clothing items, but there's a number of really good pieces of gear that capitalize on the monk's unarmed & unarmored abilities so keep your eyes peeled for them as you make your way through the game. Pay attention to how your (and your companions) abilities work and synergize with each other, and you'll be able to get through some otherwise challenging fights before all of your companions have had a chance to even hit the enemy :D Don't be afraid to try something that comes to mind, whether it's utilizing things in the environment to your advantage, or using items in a certain way... one of the best things about this game is that 99% of the time if you think "hey, I wonder if this will work" the game's answer is "yes, go for it" with entertaining degrees of success! The level of player agency is greater than any other game I've come across, and it took a while before I "unlearned" the limitations that were deeply ingrained in me over the last few decades of my gaming experiences. Have fun and welcome to the crazy fun world of Baldur's Gate 3!

the reason for getting the most of the companions that early is they all have intriguing arcs throughout the game and they add so much character to every situation with their comments which surprisingly boosts replayability.

Bricky, Alert is the best feat. You can't be suprised and you get a plus 4 to initiative
