Really where are investors putting their cash? Isn’t it crazy how mortgage rates continue to rise with higher imports and declining exports, but the FED is yet to lessen cost. Something will eventually break if they keep raising interest rates and quantitative tightening.

Things are strange right now. The US dollar is becoming less valuable because of inflation, but it's getting stronger compared to other currencies and things like gold and property. People are turning to the dollar because they think it's safer. I'm worried about my retirement savings of about $420,000 losing value because of high inflation. Where else can we keep our money?

Foreign Minister Lavrov recently stated that the New Development Bank of the BRICS is going to introduce a new settlement currency. The currency is ready in theory. This means that an announcement will be made in August and implementation will start soon after. This would be S settlement currency meaning you transact in your currencies and pay the difference in Brics currency which will be backed by Gold and silver to begin with. Wonderful.

In the history of civilization, there have been 6 Global Reserve Currencies. The longest one lasted 110 years (Spain). On average, a Reserve Currency lasted 95 years. The U.S. Dollar has already seen its best days at 79 years now. It has about another 10 to 15 years.

Hasn't Brazil's economy collapsed recently? Also, isn't this sort of like playing civilization and assuming you can ally with whoever regardless of economic, political, or social differences? How is South Africa(or Brazil, for that matter) going to avoid being economically dominated by China? Aren't they just trading one soft power ruler for another? Like, America will mess with your country, but how is China going to be any better? Also, doesn't China have problems with India due to border disputes(among other things) while Russia and China are allies of convenience who would totally stab each other in the back if they thought they could get away with it? This is an alliance built solely on 'screw America, we're making our own currency!' and little else. Like, South Africa and Russia have almost nothing in common beyond that, same with Brazil and China. With China's current economic issues, and Russia's economy in shambles, this feels like a hail-mary in an attempt to shore up their stumbling economies.

All this news is half true,the BRICS Nations are discussing payment alternatives between themselves and possibly other countries. Not to avoid the dollar as a goal,but to provide safe and not controlled systems to make trade possible. This is how the new BRICS+ global currency will work. They call it Gold Gram (GG), a digital currency to be issued by the main BRICS council on ONE day, assume Aug 1, 2023. The quantity of GG to be issued is based on the actual gold reserves at each central bank or certified gold holdings, in grams. Assume Brent oil price on Aug 1, is US$ 80/barrel, the spot gold is US $70.5/gram. So the oil price of that day is 80/70.5 = 1.13 GG/barrel. Saudi produced 5 million barrels that day, then there will be a credit of 5,000,000 x 1.13 = 5.65 million GG to Saudi govt ARAMCO account. That same day Japan produced 10,000 vehicles valued at US $30,000/car, so BOJ has 10,000 x 30,000 /70.5 = 4.26 million GG to its credit. On Aug 2, 2023, Japan bought 1 million barrels of Saudi oil, at 1.18 GG/barrel spot price, with BOJ's credit of 1.18 million GG. The same day Saudi bought 5000 Japanese cars with 5000 x 30000/70.5 = 2.12 million GG from ARAMCO's credits. From there on, every body use GG as the global digital currency, based on COMMODITIES and products. The local currency still can hold its value for domestic trades, just when in international trades it may lose its value, i.e. US dollar, Chinese Yuan, UK pounds, etc. GG will be the world standard currency. All the central banks and big finance banks are NOT allowed to loan out any GG more than what they have in their GG credit EARNED from commodities and products. No more house-of-cards with unlimited phony Fiat money. 🤔🤨😉🙃🙂😎

BRICS members are no more 5 members now. They have around 30 members now. BRICS could rename itself as UNN, that is, United New Nations.

The BRICS nations don't need de-dollarization. They actually have a pretty balance trade. So as long as they could get what they wanted, US sanctions are pretty much meaningless. Saudi, Russia, Brazil, Venezuela, Iran etc. have natural resources, natural gas, oil and food. China is the world factory. Several of them are also major producers of agriculture products. Venezuela actually have most oil reserve but need Iranian oil to refine their oil. Brazil and many OPEC countries have trade surplus against China. But China has trade surplus against pretty much every country in the world except the energy producing nations. India is the only one I don't see how it fits since it has trade deficient every year. And they don't have product people wanted. So it is just important to get India in since its strategic location and large population. This way with a new currency. People can trade with India and don't have to use ruppee since the most likely currency in demand would be rmb that India would resist.

If Indian₹ alone becomes the reserve currency for 20 other countries, then the USdollar will loose its value by 80%. If a gold backed BRICS+ currency comes into picture, USdollar will be just a 2% option for those traders who'd want to import something from USA.
