The dollar is supported by demand for it all over the world. If demand decreases (and less is used for mutual settlements), then, of course, it will suffer, and not in 30 years. The dollar will not disappear anywhere, it will also remain as the national currency of America, and perhaps for some countries as a reserve (if they are satisfied with it), but its inflated value will decrease. How much, how much less it will be used. But in 30 years, America may have to live within its means. How everyone else is living now. @@KingAlphaOmega russia is over hyped specially in West, it has an economy even smaller than Italy and that too almost entirely dependent on Hydrocarbons. Russia do not produces top notch weaponry now, it's almost no where in critical advanced futuristic technologies. Even it's space agency is backsliding a lot in recent decades, it's a decaying power. Now comes china with a GDP bigger than USA and who has left US miles behind in critical futuristic technologies. It is the competitor of US not russia a junky country.
