One of my favourite movies of all times. And in my honest opinion they cut out the best parts of this movies . These deleted scenes would have made this movie even moreeee amazing 😩😩
Well... these cut out pieces would have explained so much. There should always be a "Director's Cut" to movies so we can see the real artistry of the movie as opposed to what the greedy producers think will sell.
Those deleted scenes were great! There voices were good.They had a love-hate relationship.Lalita put mom in her place! Can't choose who Will loves....mom who wants to control her son"s decisions.

They should have left these scenes in, like the movie's an hour and 51 minutes and the extra scenes could have made it a round two hours (yeah, the video is 12 minutes but there's also Gurinder talking in it). Plus all these scenes are so good and would make the movie so much better.

I rented the movie on RU-vid for $3.99 for 48 hrs after not finding the free full version online. Came across Bend It Like Beckham on TV and it made me think of this movie. I remember seeing it in theater at the height of my obsession with Bollywood movies and thought what a perfect pairing. I’m such a fan of Jane Austen as well so was super excited for this version. After watching this movie, though it was good I felt there were some elements missing. These deleted scenes would have added more depth and insight. I think a kiss would have been nice because it’s only natural in any budding relationship and would have helped make this film more relatable (I understand fully way it wasn’t included). Wonder if Martin and Ash sang using their own voices? Bravo for Martin for stepping into this role that was clearly not what he was used to. And Ash for doing a great job on her first English film. Such memorable characters I will forever love like the parents, Choli and Maya with her snake dance 🤣
Aishwarya was a terrible choice for Elizabeth. Lizzie was never the most beautiful girl in the room. She was all heart, wit, outspoken, frank, and spirited. Ash simply couldn’t bring those traits out no matter how hard she tried…we just see her beauty, nothing else, unless she has SLB directing…
Why do other cultures appropriate western culture? This is extremely rude. Surly each culture can make romance movies without copying other cultures and races. I think this movie is very racist.
