on another episode i think randy said the dresses were in sample sizes i.e. 2/4/6? glad they appear to have other sizes now...'bout time.

@@melissam7067 it was very likely an episode where they were having a sample sale. Those days sample sizes are all they have but typically they do have bigger sizes for many dresses 😊

I don't think she is "full figured" as much as she was very tall. Her body needed more size to make her proportional to her height. She is actually quite small for how tall she is.

I agree with you on that. He wasn’t being controlling at all. Sure he made some comments about certain things about the look of the dress, but he most certainly didn’t tell her what to do. He’s a man, usually some men don’t understand the concept of certain designs on a wedding dress. I think he was just being the comedian that he is.

I agree. As with most men, they aren't the most tactful at times, but he was very considerate of his bride's feelings and wanted her to be happy.

The dress fit well on her body after alterations and looked pretty, but the bodice still looked huge. It looked like a shelf and she wasn't filling it out. Vera usually does a much better job. The gown probably was meant for a longer torso/taller bride.

@@zenagitana the alterations on this were terrible!! Not only what you said, but when it was being laced the eyelets were touching, meaning the dress was still huge and couldn't be pulled in anymore, and that's why it didn't fit her

@@kanyebreast6072 I didn't see that until you pointed it out. You're right, a corset should be visible, not look like a zipper. The gown was either ordered way too big or just not proportional to this bride. Kleinfeld's quality has really gone downhill.

I think the crying is for mixture of reasons. -The stress of planning everything is often times heaviest on the bride. Long term stress makes you emotionally vulnerable. -The brides usually don’t get to see or try on the dress for a VERY long time after their first appointment. And as with many big decisions, a sense of ‘did I do the right thing’ is very natural. Or even regret. Example of that is buying a house. You can’t enter it again for a while after signing the contracts, so regret sets in because.. I guess people just do that. -The alteration being specifically about her weight and her fiancés approval of her look, is a source of sadness/stress for her and that makes even more sense that she cried when she wasn’t happy with the alteration. Many brides hope to feel that ‘feeling’ again when they try the dress back on after waiting for so long. And understandably, if the alteration was wrong and the ‘feeling’ isn’t there, that stress is further made worse. The regret feeling might be worse. And cue the tears. I’m happy she got to laugh after the crying moment, Vera is wonderful and her attitude is perfect for the department she’s in. That’s just my opinion though. I myself would probably need a reality check and I know Vera would offer that. This is just my opinion, anecdotes and personal findings after watching many episodes and experiencing some similar situations. Everyone is different and my opinions don’t have to coincide with what others feel is true for them

Because as a formerly plus sized woman, her body perspective hadn't caught up to her new physique. It's a typical thing with people who have lost a lot of weight. They simply don't see what the rest of us see.

I feel you but brides always talk like they own the wedding (image a groom wearing a tux the lady doesn’t like - my gosh she’d talk about it their whole life) so I guess a groom can feel that way now and then too lol

Depends on the couple. My family is pretty abusive. The only one I trust to go dress shopping with is my man. And no I don't have female friends. I think that's related to the abuse. Besides, my man's suit is important to me. So why can't he give an opinion on my dress? And he's the one I'm marrying, nobody else. He's the only other person with a wedding related opinion I care about.

Especially when he referred to the wedding as "my wedding" instead of "our wedding".

@@annehorrigan570 I didn't get control vibes, not really. Before my current and hopefully final relationship, I had been with a severe control freak. He wouldn't even let me eat much. I went to bed hungry. My man will tell me when I look bad in an outfit, and he even makes extreme jokes. Example, he once said he'd throw me out a window. But I know his tone and behavior. He just makes me laugh with how ridiculous his jokes are. Still, he does say that the sexiest thing is when I'm happy and confident. If I'm wearing a dress he thinks is butt ugly but I'm lighting up the room with a smile, he'd be happier for it. Besides, I'll take the dress off eventually. Lol. Also, we're planning on having a sort of double wedding in one. In the first part we both dress how I want. In the second part, we dress how he wants. First part, ballroom rococo style. Second part Medieval/Old Norse mix. This way, both parties get what they want. I think as long as we keep the guest list short and don't buy what a lot of mainstream couples do, we'll be fine. Example, why do we need a bar? Why do we need bridesmaids? Why do we need favors? It's not like we're expecting wedding gifts. So, yeah. Couples need to do their wedding their way. If that means bringing a rooster into the hen house, so be it.

Yes, it's very distracting. I think they're insecure about their looks, that's what long hair is for, to hide your face, and also because their boyfriends like long hair on women. It's a control thing.
