Not a pianist, just trying to surprise my husband on our wedding day. Ambitious piece and no page turner as when practicing this wasn't an issue without the breeze coming through the marquee! If I had the time I would have had a lot more lessons having not played in 16 years . Though the playing was far from perfect I achieved my goal of keeping the performance secret from my husband who had previously never heard me play and believed I was making it up to try and impress on our first date! Despite all the champagne consumption I managed to just about get to the end! I hope this video makes people a little happy and brightens their day ;)
As an aside, I coach ambitious people to attain their goals without any further delay. Since this video, I have coached many people wanting to either start playing a musical instrument or getting over their fears of performing at an event without the feeling of overwhelm. Please contact me at aimcoaching1@outlook.com or via my website www.aim-coaching.co.uk/

@@v.dargain1678 Just fine?! You probably not a performer. Or simply musician without any emotions. Why do composers write their pieces? To express their emotions, to tell imaginary story, to describe real historical event (Chaikovsky " 1812 Overture, etc.). Or it could be majestic story of love and romance. It nesseseraly to take in consideration facts such as what was going in society at that time, what was going on in composer's life, soul, relationships. The main role of performer is to transfer to the public all of what composer had in mind. It's performer's responsibility. In addition performer is weaving in his/her emotions, memories, struggles. This beautiful young lady is extremely strong, brave and love her husband very much. She did something very privet. Amazing!!! I cried while watching this. I now play for my sweet sweet Mother, who has dementia. She'll close her eyes and feel the music, then when I stop she'll start crying and saying "why don't I remember that you can play the piano "? Ir breaks my heart every time, to the point now I'm thinking that it may be causing her harm and I should stop. She's always been my main cheerleader and her and I have played together for each other for my lifetime.... I pray that your marriage is strong today as I'm watching this 2 years later. Keep the music flowing with your children as you have them and make it fun, not a chore for them. Blessings. ❤❤❤

Girl, you had me by the heart, from the first few notes. This piece, of all classical compositions, is my all time favorite. My mother used to play this when I was a child. Made me teary eyed then, as it did just now. There's just so much emotion in it. As for being flawless, you needn't have worried, it was pretty damned close. Besides, as a musician myself, I've found, people respond more to heart than perfection and in that regard, you've got it in spades. I realize I'm late to the party, but happy belated wedding day to you and your husband and to many years of marital joy. Thank YOU for this! Yours truly, Bro.

Despite the mistakes and non-cooperative pages wanting to turn on her, I can hear her deeper musical soul and she is talented. Sure, the mistakes can be practiced out but either you feel the music or you don't and this young woman does!! I would recommend memorizing it. 😊It will free you up for what you feel in the music. Musicians know what I'm talking about. This was a very sweet gesture from your wife, cherish her.
