Jo and Al attempt to find an off the shoulder wedding gown that makes a statement and gives their bride-to-be, Yasmina, the drag queen confidence she's looking for. Catch Say Yes to the Dress on TLC - Sky 133, Virgin 162, BT TV 323
There's nothing I love more than reading the comment sections for videos like this because everybody is just so positive and uplifting towards the bride
I think it is because you can always relate to the search of confidence, the serach of a look where you love your self, and that is in every bride because it is in every woman, some more or less I think every woman has to work it out at some point of her life.
cup cake I feel these two women love what they do! They don’t just sell wedding dresses they become invested in their brides and the journey each bride is on. You can’t help but smile when watching this show, it’s truly a feel good show.
While these women are preparing for the most special day of their life's, anxiety, panic, may set in. I don't think a psychologist is necessary. This is more of a personal issue and if they need this sort of help, I think a good suggestion would be for them to seek this outside of this setting...issues such as confidence, self esteem, anxiety or panic, should be taken seriously and addressed, so that the person receives help that is long term.
Speaking as a senior undergrad psych major...... I would totally hang out with them. You can learn from anyone... good things and bad things. Lots of good from them tho.
I love how she uses drag queen to talk about how she wants be precieved! I immediately knew what she was talking about, it's not just the confidence, but feeling that you ARE a queen and you deserve to shine!
Sad how the world's perception of beauty can really knock a girl down. But, this girl had buckets full of beauty. She doesn't know it yet, but she'll learn as she grows older. So beautiful. And I love how the sales ladies doesn't laugh at her, as they do in other shows. They support and work with her dreams.
@@diya4116 Everyone who has half a brain knows being overweight isn't great. There are ways to express that other than fat shaming people, like that idiot did. I myself are lucky, I've been healthy weight my whole life and never been overweight, but nobody has the right to insult people online because they aren't thin. I bet they wouldn't say it to their face?
@MNSpaceRover, first of all, when I referred to her beauty, I was referring inside and outside. (you wouldn't know what inside beauty is, if it slapped you in the face, dude) Most importantly, are you related to her? Cause you're carrying on like a family member. Maybe, if you're not, then focus on your own family. You know, those fat ones, the alcoholics, abusers.. Oh and don't forget the bullies. Yep, your gonna be busy.
It got me super emotional to see all the amazing comments, it is so refreshing to see women supporting women.. and by the way, she is and she looks stunning!
I love her. We need more people like her in this world. Soldiering on with a smiley face despite the hurt and anxiety inside and yet strong enough to show her vulnerability. Stunning person.
Kim K came out with a make up style that was inspired by drag queens as well as her showstopping body contours. So this combo isn’t farfetched at all imo
gotta say....i thought this was going to be a mess...but she pulled it off... and she looks beautiful without sacrificing who she is or her style....congrats!
I'd look like I got hit by a couple of feather pillows that exploded. Some people just make kooky things SO COOL. Helena Bonham Csrter wore a hat that was designed about 1910. and I immediately thought, I gotta get a hat. I KNOW I can't wear hats. I immediately look like Benny Hill. Some people can collect garden junk and make a gorgeous garden highlight. Same stuff and mine looks like I've had a river dredged and pulled out all the scrap iron. I ain't got 'it. This lovely girl has...'
And follow-up program needed on this episode! Would love to see her walk down the aisle and having fun at the reception! It's all about the confidence aspect.
I think it's because there aren't a load of judgemental arseholes wandering past the shop being rude and gawping at these, sadly, fragile lovely ladies...in the middle of nowhere no-one can judge you and Jo & Al can boost your confidence in a v relaxed atmosphere...I'm not plus size but I am disabled and I just wish I could take them with me when I go shopping for any clothes but especially for my wedding dress...they are so lovely!
Dee Lg I’m half Indian and my Indian Aunt was able to have a child. Many of the myths aren’t true, people just say that because they want girls to be skinny and beautiful. Size doesn’t matter.
Your honesty with yourself is refreshing. Confidence is admitting you lack confidence. That dress is gorgeous because you made it that way. Enjoy your wedded life.
Okay, I've been on Say Yes to the Dress marathon but this one? WOW! The best so far and believe me I've seen it all :D She looks absolutely stunning, just WOW.
@Alaya Rose everyone has there own opinions I don't know if this is the best dress or bride ever either but it was very nice. What is your favorite episode?
Vavavoom!! It’s perfect for her! Yasmina has enough inner confidence, even though she may not know it, to carry the dress. Gorgeous!!! (The bride and the dress.)
My favourite say yes to the dress program. Love these two gals. Loved that dress too. I'm a size 12. It's not about the size, it's about loving who you are and making the most of what you have. Love it!
HaHaHa! ...Am I being awkward? No! You’re being vague! ( and contradictory!) Fun bride! Fun group! Love her! She picked a killer spot on dress! Good job Jo and Al!
That dress was interesting, not something I would pick, and it looked fabulous on her! Instead of a long veil it would be so cute with a beaded headband with a few feather accents to match the dress. 💙
Yazmina, YOU LOOK FABULOUS and I totally mean it! And your mom said it best, not many girls could wear this feathered beauty and look natural, but you do! Sweetheart I hope your wedding is wonderful!!! ❤️😘🎶🎶🎶🛍🎀🎠🏰🎡🛳✈️🍰🌈⭐️🌹🌷💐🌸🌺from the USA
This bride's features remind me of Gal Gadot. That dress gave her everything she wanted- the softness and sexiness of Kim meets the glam and confidence of Ru. She looked fantastic.
this show is so heartwarming! im a skinny girl but i love watching these. i think all of us have issues with our image no matter how you look. when i was a teen i was plump a uk10-12. i know thats not considered even plus size but i am asian where the average size is uk6-8, im also pretty tall by asian standards. I hated feeling like a giant and i loved the “victorias secret” body, long and lean but with a bit more burlesque curve. today im successfully a uk6-8 but only through checking myself on things like diet, lifestyle etc. i love food actually but i do take supplements from time to time to suppress my cravings and to train my stomach smaller. i feel like im always chasing an ideal. just like the first bride i have my masks and things that boost my confidence, because i model part time, so pretty pictures of myself do help. but no one sees what i see in the mirror when im alone and i just examine my flaws. or when i examine my pictures for flaws. i feel sad about it. i wish everyone and everything could just be about beauty and positivity and being in the now.
The curvy girls wedding dress shop is definitely my favourite. The two woman that work there make it such a magical experience . Amazing emotional intelligence ladies!💗💕
