They weren’t right for each other and I’m glad that they didn’t go through with their wedding and realized it before starting a marriage. I’m not married but I do believe a marriage needs a solid foundation and two people who accept each other as they are not as what they want each other to be.
I mean... When he tells this story though, and he mentions what she went through with her best friend, the tan, and the ceremony... Everyone would say he dodged a bullet.
@@RU-vidwontletmecommeng 🤨exactly! Especially when she almost broke down crying telling him that he never once asked how she felt through this whole conflict with Liv. With the way she's been pushed around by Liv and surrendering to her (though yesh you could make the argument Emma didn't always have to), it's no wonder Emma had enough, fought back and enjoyed it.
@@raelv504 the only reason he likes her is because she always gives in to him. The moment she stopped thinking about other people and focused on what she wanted to do, he is no longer in love with her. She is going through a lot at the moment. Her best friend who has ben there for her her whole life is not there to celebrate the most special days of her life with her. Its a lot to deal with. Its not too much for her to have emotions at this point. And he just wants her to smile and be pleasant through it all.
Unintentionally Sympathetic (from TV Tropes): Fletcher (Emma's fiancé) is supposed to be seen as a controlling Jerkass for critiquing Emma's ideas for the wedding and her rivalry with Liv. Instead he comes off as an Only Sane Man for having the nerve to tell Emma that what she is doing is wrong, while Liv's fiancé Daniel just smiles and agrees with everything she does. *In the end, Fletcher's sin of being assertive gets him dumped in favor of Liv's brother Nate, which is treated as a well-deserved punishment for him. But considering how horrible the protagonists are, it's easy to feel that Fletcher is the one who gets the real happy ending here.*
Well there were numerous other red flags, such as the way that he proposed, the way that he blamed her for everything that went wrong, the way that he was completely disinterested about what she was actually going through. What i don't like about the movie is the fact that yes, these adult women act like children and face really no consequences. The only one who experienced anything that even remotely sucked was emma. Her marriage fell through, she wasn't able to get married on her parents wedding anniversary, she had a shitty job, and she gets completely overshadowed by her best friend who continues to get everything that she wants. I don't think the best friend was a bad person, just extremely childish and immature bc she got jealous that Emma was proposed to first and then started this whole competition of getting the wedding day. It left a bad taste in my mouth because the only "win" that Emma got out of everything was during a dance off. I still think that this is a very cheesy movie, but I also think that fletcher being dumped was completely justified.
Best friends are usually the People who knows you so i think that video that Liv planted there she knew fletcher had to see it because she maybe knew Emma and him werent for eachother. Fletcher gave me red flags from the start. I mean he was always saying Liv only thinks about herself but the only reason they started to fight was because of that date. Also Liv did mentioned that she always had to be one step ahead of everyone thinking she had to be perfect. In a few scenes Liv showed she cared about Emma too so no she didn't only thinked about herself. And the only reason she wanted Daniel to pripiše Fast is so she could have the wedding she and her Best friend dreamed on. They always tell you in Life that the ones closest to you knows you the most. If Fletcher knew Emma for 10 years but questioned her friendship with Liv what does that say about them?
Yep Star lord broke up with Catwoman because he’s Marvel and Anne Hathaway is DC. So Star lord fell in love with Gamora and Cat woman fells in love with Batman
Douchey boyfriend or not, this was still sad. Firstly, they were together for 10 years! it could not have been THAT easy for either of them to just break it off like this. Secondly, he was just trying to stop the madness that was happening, and was that so bad? Thirdly, what is up with Chris Pratt's characters being dumped by Annes, fiction Anne or actress Anne, anyway? LOL! Lastly, WHO in their right mind dumps Chris Pratt? Like, WHAT? You're kidding! Right? ;)
@@antithoughtpolice7497 Yeah! Exactly. Dodge a bullet. If this guy were real, I'd say he deserves a girl who will stick with him and stand by him for life. I mean, come on! This was a 10-year relationship she's breaking off here! No one in their right mind would say this was, in whatever way you put it, easy
@@antithoughtpolice7497 this Guy legit crizitized Liv and emma's friendship . Yes they fought so what? Doesnt everyone faught? Their friendship proves to be real in order to know who's Loyal you have to go throught Challenger to see who Will stay. Fletcher and Emma 10 years friends but they give him a break because hes the good Guy here? How was he the good Guy?, . He looked at that one video and already decided what he throught of emmea without consideration? If he loved Emma he would've stayed throught every humiliation. Relationship iz never easy he knew that
@@tadejaivanic680 You sound insane. Emma and Liv didn't have a normal fight. What they did to one another was completely vile. Would you fight with your best friend like that? Would you sabotage her skin, hair, weight, wedding, bachelorette party, etc. because you were having a wedding on the same day? That's not regular fighting, so why do you expect a regular response from Fletcher?
@@deviantmoore9744 you would expect him to sit with her, sympathise with the fact that her childhood best friend has fallen out with her and is now trying her level best to destroy her wedding. He never does that. In the beginning he spurs her on, by saying how Liv id horrible, then when it escalates he says Emma is going mad. Like ofcourse she is. She is going through a very stressful time here. But all he cares about is how all this makes him feel. He is upset and he feels that Emma should pay attention to what he wants instead of processing her feelings.
@@lamb9770 he broke up because he realize she got crazy with the best friends double wedding... All they could do it together or one in the moring n other one on the night . That both could join happy . Both they go to the honeymoon with thier spouse ....
Because he wanted a simple life with her, very normal (you can check out his proposal-so cute) and she went crazy fighting with her best friend over whose wedding will be better (because their weddings get scheduled on the same day by mistake)
