I was lucky enough to see them on Friday 9th September on their UK tour, they are fantastic live, they looked like they loved every minute of being on stage...amazing show.
Hey Ryan, they are still one of my top bands out of Japan. If they get to the States, I will be going to see them. Great to see you enjoy this one, have a great one!
wait till you hear more of them both their older stuff and their 2022 album (Aegis of Athena) chock full of awesomeness. I am happy to see you finally getting to listen to them. so far though I haven't gotten any really good live stuff, unsure if they just get unlucky with venues and equip and recording etc, or if they are just a better studio band. but I REALLY want to see them live some day, another really awesome bunch of musicians.
Hell yes Bridear. A fantastic band, unfortunately always a bit overlooked. They did never disappoint me in their long career. Bridear will always have a special place in my heart. Together with Gacharic Spin they were the first all female rock band I discovered back in 2013 - thanks to my wife again, who worked in the Japanese music industry then. She introduced me to so many great bands. I’m very thankful to met her … not only for this reason 😊 I saw Bridear several times live, always great, energetic shows. And I had the privilege to have a beer or two with Kimi and Mitsuro (one of the former Lead Guitarists), once they played here in Switzerland. Like most of this Japanese rock ladies, very gentle ladies with wonderful personalities. Hope to see them soon again. Unfortunately I couldn’t make it to the UK last week.
They recorded a live album yesterday during their London concert, can't wait. This is their actual line up, minus blonde guitarist who has recently been replaced by Moe.
Good choice Ryan. I saw them live in Glasgow, Scotland last Tuesday and they were fantastic, such a good live show. The new guitarist MOE was very good and seems to gel nicely with one of my favourite guitarists Ayumi. Met them at the meet and greeet, such nice ladies (and so much smaller than you imagine in the flesh, but awesome power on stage.) Love them I mentioned to the manager (tour) I was waiting for a Bluray from them but he just kinda shook his head, so I expect it will be a live CD we will get from them
This is Bridear 2.0. Misaki and Ayumi on guitars, Natsumi on drums. (There was a brief interval when they had another drummer between Kai and Natsumi).
Hmmm I thought Ignite was my fave tune of theirs. Until I heard that breakdown! And what would u call that last thing? Ending breakdown? That was a heavy AF ending. I'm like the Ryan of 7 mos ago: realizing Bridear belongs in my rotation. And that would pair nicely with some more Trident, I think ...
At first I thought to myself why don't I listen to them more myself, then as I listened to this song I realized that I do on Spotify without knowing, plus I love anyone who plays an explorer my very first guitar.
Hey Ryan, you should react to their old live version song called "Thread of the light" with their two original lead guitarists who played aggressively and their music back then was heavier.
the problem is most people dont realize not every band needs to be bandmaid or lovebites ! bridear is bridear and they are awesome ! they have been through quite a few changes over the years but they are always awesome ! and people need to give respect where it is due ! they are in my top 5 of the lady bands and always will be ! been listening to them since their original line up ! its sad to see members leave but they still always rock and continue to grow !
Great song and that Gibson explorer because of the lighting at first I thought it was gold I've never seen one in Gold before then I saw that it was actually wood grain nice guitar though thank you much for the reaction
I’m probably wrong, but when I read their name, I assumed the following: 1. It was pronounced in English (because it’s kinda popular in some j-rock circles) 2. Bride AR - as in a bride with an automatic rifle. (There’s a song called bloody bride… eh my weird logic)
I meant I wanted to have real reactions to the music, but so many other actual requests came in that I never got to them. I still didn't go and listen to them to ruin potential reactions though.
You be you bro. I’m here for the ride. Sometimes I just want to see you and the GG’s get to the rest of the greatness of what I’ve been enjoying for years. From Dragon Ash and Ripslyme in the late 90’s to present day, the well is bottomless. No need to save. Rock on brother!
