Those taxi drivers did not go the wrong way on accident. They literally did that cause you're american so they wanted you to pay more. What kind of taxi drivers that have worked for probably years dont know the area they drive in?
Yeah, unfortunately this is one of the trick taxi drivers in Mexico will do and they will know your American. Once you start speaking even if you are talk in Spanish the way that you speak will give it away. But here a trick I learned from my family in Mexico. Frist you need to learn this phrase (buenos días), oye, necesito ir a (iglesia) pero solo tengo ($20 besos) ¿puedes llevarme allí? Translation: (good morning) hey, listen I need to go to (church) but I only have ($20 money) can you drive me there? The ones in ( ) you will have to learn word to, sine you might somewhere else, and the money you decide what's fair amount. Tho the buenos dias can be acceptable most of the time of the day except for night. Now that mini Spanish listen is over I'm going to tell you why you need to learn this. The reason why that you need to learn this phrase is that the point of these taxi driver is to make money anyway they can. So once you say you only have $20 they already know they can't get any more money from you and have to decide if they want that money or not. Now keep in mind that they can reject you but most of the time they will accept it. Also if that driver doesn't want it you can alway go to a different driver that will take it. After all they love making money. Also here's another tip for gas stations. Now if you decide to rent a car in Mexico most if not all gas stations have this person that will pump gas for you. On this one you will have to tell him how much gas to put in your car. Because if you tell him/her put in $20 worth of gas they will Cheapskate you and only give you a gallon or either half a gallon. So if tell him put in 5 gallon he cannot dispute the charges. And don't give him the money right way make should it right amount because they know you could easily drive off with the car with full tank of gas.
It's the trick for local people in my country while for the foreigners, they charge you whatever they want but mostly, It's overpriced from the actual cost based on the taxi meter
Dontbugme1523 Pesos not besos. Besos is kisses haha probs a typo but if someone doesn’t know the language, can’t have them running around promising way too many kisses
I don't think that second girl knows what "horror" stories are. "I had to get a notebook," is like a Tuesday afternoon. Given the time crunch, I would have given that bride 3 options---memorize it, put it on your phone, or scrap of paper because no one is going to remember that you had a friggin' notebook to read from at your wedding. Not important.
@@chasef89 Ha, seriously! I kept thinking it was going to get juicy, like she was almost kidnapped, or the cab broke down and she had to then sprint to the wedding on foot in the rain, or the store thought she stole the notebook....some...thing.....nope, she uh...got it, arrived on time, wedding went on as normal. My bridesmaid horror story is my best friend forgot her deodorant, so I reached in my bag and gave her one that I'd brought and the wedding happened. It...was...horrible! I seriously thought we might have needed to cancel things, you know, like, in horror. LOL!
I think that story sounds half as bad as it really is, until we realize she's in a foreign country whose language she doesn't even speak. If I imagine not knowing where tf I'm going in Vietnam or Russia while my family is waiting for me at a hotel and the clock is ticking, it certainly sounds like a horror story to me. Hahahaha
@@DarkAngelicChaos It would have been "the" horror story if all of this led to her almost missing the wedding or she really couldn't find the store and got lost with the driver, but what happened is they got a little turned around and she made it right on time, so there's nothing horrible there. Think of the word "horrible," or "horror." That is a car crash, the wedding venue on fire, a bear coming out of no where....it isn't everything went pretty smooth.
@@samanthamorris427 I was super sick those days too. I was still recovering from an extreme flu with high fever. On the day of his wedding, I was on the first day of my period and almost about to pass out but noone thought I looked sick haha. I rented a really nice hall in a restaurant, bought all the decorating items and decorated the main stage myself, decided the menu, made a really nice digital invitation card and sent it to everyone, shopped for myself and sisters dresses, and the bride's dress didn't even arrive until the morning of the wedding. It was all just such a rush. It was such an intimate and sophisticated wedding. Everyone who came, enjoyed and told that they enjoyed a lot.
One question.... why not ask reception for some printer paper? They usually have some or can get some from an office nearby 🙈 Either that or resort/hotel notepads...
The second story was entirely self inflicted. Edit: also, who TF needs Spanish to get to Walmart. You could literally say “Walmart” and nothing else and you’d get there just fine.
Mostly these don’t seem like horror stories....just mildly annoying or expensive inconveniences....something everyone should expect to happen when planning a wedding.
Jeez people are so picky in the comments. Like sorry their stories weren’t extravagant or up to your standards! I enjoyed both stories and I was stressed out in a good way.

Aw honey I'm sorry, the taxi driver robbed you. NEVER let a taxi driver know you don't know where you're going, especially if you're in a country where you don't speak the language!
I have a bridesmaid horror story of my own, but I assume you aren't doing a part 3. Well if you do, reply pls? If you do a part 3 and don't want my story pls just put no thx or something so I feel aknolaged? (Spelling)
God bless! Believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior and the Son of God and died on a cross for our sins! Believe God is our Father and Creator and raised His Son Jesus from the dead! Confess and repent of your sins and trust in God! Live for Jesus as He died for you!! (Don’t swear or take God’s name in vein!) 🥰🤍.
Yes their is you can hire bridesmaids even maid of honor and brides have said that it took a lot of stress out of the wedding, they did not have a lot of fighting and everyone got along because you pay them to. Now I believe if you do this then the bride pays for the bridesmaids dress and shoes as all of that is in the contact that is signed
I was junior bridesmaid for my Aunts wedding, I was so happy I got to be in her wedding, my Aunt made thee dresses, mine was a gorgeous brown. Brown for a bridesmaid dress seems really pretty to me, especially in fall. So how it was planned was pictures, dinner, then the service, after party. It was kinda disorganized but that’s just my aunt. It was really fun, however now my Aunt is trying to get divorced, has a son and is seeing another man because her husband left her because he wasn’t ready to be a father, so now I regret agreeing to be her bridesmaid kinda.
Is not body talking about how the bride of the second story *Hadn’t. Written. Her. Vows.* Ummmmm that is kinda important and not something to be doing on the day of the wedding?!?!?!
They have merengue as the background music 8:21this is not the typical music of Mexico, merengue is from the Dominican Republic. I know it because I'm dominican ;)
it sorta upset me how unnecessary the second girl’s story was of going out to get dang notebooks. someone had paper, pad, journal around. someone did. and y’all did too much. went too hard. the hotel front desk definitely had something and if they were greedy of their paper??, then another guest i.e. kind stranger had something. also what gift shops do not have some form of stationary? especially tourist areas?? all that stress and for what... “work smarter, not harder.”
The 2nd one is not a horror story... once I was a bridesmaid to make a long story short after I agreed to be a bridesmaid we were told that bridesmaids had to pay for something in the wedding then after that the bride bickering at me when I wasn’t “giving her my payment on time “even though she wasn’t answering my calls and afterwords when it was the day of the wedding I was told just to meet them at the church because there wasn’t enough room in the limo for me they also didn’t bother to book hair or make up for me just for her and her family. 🤷🏻♀️ also i was the only bridesmaid that wasn’t family & the bride was my friends sister so it was beyond awkward.
Omg the first story seems so familiar ! The only time I was the maid of honor it turn out ... horribly. In addition The bride turned into a Bridezilla.
Hotel bibles are free and replaced whenever taken, I would've written my vows on the frontispiece. Plus, vows in a bible? Classy, and I don't think God would mind hahahahahahahaha
