Stripped down and injected with deal-with-the-devil-level-talent fiddling and blues vocal, Bridge City Sinners have taken their cover of “Go to Hell” to new depths of satanic majesty not even Lemmy could’ve imagined. With just as much rock and roll as zydeco ramjam, “Go to Hell” is the perfect sendoff for any crusty hoedown.
Keep your pointed ears open for that beastly growl under Libby Lux’s seductive singing, the demon energy on this track neither relents nor forgives. Coupled with such vigorous strumming and stringing, this track is an invitation to sin and a Holy Roller ticket to meet the devil. No other track exhibits the musical range featured on Löve Me Förever: A Tribute to Motörhead, it’s indicative of not only the variety of music Lemmy inspired but the variety celebrated by Psycho Waxx and Psycho Las Vegas in every musical venture. Recorded in the desert over the course of Psycho weekend 2021, Bridge City Sinners effectively captured the old west energy Lemmy always admired.
