A younger John here but still with his magnificent voice. Beautiful song and sung to perfection, such clarity and agility in his voice, endless range. He sings this classic song with such passion and emotion. Epic, best male vocalist of all time.
The problem of merely “watching” music instead of “listening”, as well, is you don’t comprehend that there is: an orchestra of musicians, an arranger, a conductor, a contractor, music mixers, and recording engineers, involved. They are not in a spotlight. They don’t work for public praise. But they’re worthy of a little recognition. Don’t you agree? BTW I enjoy your reactions, and loverly personality. Besides being gorgeous, you are super cute, too.
John fronted the little river band from 1982 to 86 and he did my now second favorite version of Gethsemane in the Austrailian arena tour of Jesus Christ Superstar. (new fave is Dan Vasc). He recently experienced some health issues, which I believe has left him unable to sing. But thanks to the miracle of videotape, we will have him around for awhile, and hopefully he will live the retirement that he deserves.
I loved him with LRB. My favorite song he sang was "We Two", from the album The Net. I saw them at the Wild Horse in Nashville after he left the band. I got to go backstage and meet the band, and when I told one of that I liked that song, he said "Well, that was a bloody awful album!" I thought that was hilarious!
