Well you managed to focus on the crappy parts of BPT. You missed Black Rock, St Mary's by the sea, the North end, Brooklawn area etc. You need to retitle this as the East Side of Bridgeport.

If I can be a little critical, this could have been better researched. First you drive up and down East Main Street, Bridgeport's most unattractive, boring main artery; then you drove a bit downtown. You missed the jewel of Bridgeport, Seaside Park, a 375 acre beach park on Long Island Sound designed by Frederick Law Olmstead listed in the National Register of Historical Places, started by P.T. Barnum. It includes a 2.5 mile road right against the beach which no CT town has since the rich people were allowed to buy up most of the waterfronts. It's worth a second look. :-) Re University of Bridgeport which resides above Seaside Park, due to its financial struggles, it was dissolved last year and acquired by Goodwin University of East Hartford for $32 million but will retain its name and have its own BoD.

Wow you just took me down memory lane. I used to live on Stillman st Street over there by St. Charles Church. I also used to live on William Street.

You should have driven down to Seaside Park near the university. UB has maintained the old homes of the rich classes that owned the factories.

Why r u not narrating as u drive thru the city. I'm originaly from Bpt so I know the area. But someone not familiar is just seeing nothing with no explaination/discription of the city.

I went to school at the University of Bridgeport. The city used to be a huge manufacturing center of the US. You can see the evidence from the large churches throughout the city.

Grew up in Hartford, drove past bridgeport every time I went home on a pass from the Navy in Norfolk VA, brings back memories, thanks!

What a waste of time. You basically drove back and forth through a very small section of Bridgeport's Downtown and east side. Less than 2% of Bridgeport. Maybe next time use a map!

Driven on the freeway from 95 to get to 15 through Bridgeport. Saw some cool architecture and some decent areas. Like any other city, it depends where you’re at.
