This is a show that benefits A LOT from rewatches. I've been binging these 4 episodes nonstop for the past week and things I didn't like at first now make perfect sense to me. And it's so cool to see all the reactions.
I think when Portia tells Penelope about security, she is not wrong at all as in that period, unmarried women were not in a good situation and as Penelope has no other suitors, she doesn't have much left...
Polin beeing kinda the main couple of the series as a whole becaus niccola was cast first and shonda got interestet becaus of Penelope to make the series in the first place and more plans for lwin future seasons so aslong as polin stays i will watch
I’m completely in love with how unhinged Colin was in those last few minutes. And him getting on his knees to confess his feelings to her, because he needed to be as close as he could to her. But also Pen thinking that Colin asking her to come with him to finish what they started(you can’t tell me she didn’t think that for a second) 😂
For Benedict, I think he will be heartbroken from his affair with Lady Tilly. I don't think Eloise going to be any kind of relationship with Cressida since she going to be involved with Lady Whistledown
Ooo you’re right! The ultimatum with Pen to reveal who she is. Lady Tilly is definitely going to break Benny’s heart but I wonder if it’s supposed to be a catalyst where he wants to become serious with someone finally? I wonder what they are setting up for his character 👀
Here's an essay on my thoughts, if you're interested (I really like essays). I just wanted to put it on the record, if Penelope and Colin invited me to get into that carriage, I'd do it in a heartbeat, and we'd take the scenic route. Next is my speculation, which could possibly be true, maybe (??). So, possible spoilers! I think the queer character is Cressida too. Picture this: part of the reason she's like that could be that her parents caught her with a girl once, now they make her keep other women at a distance, and the way she does it is by being a jerk (not that it's a justification). That could be why her father said she's not to be near the Bridgerton girl, even though the Bridgertons are popular. Not so fun fact: Debling mentions he wants to go on an expedition that will attempt to cross the Northwest Passage, something people had been trying to do since the 15th century. However, the first successful crossing wasn't until about 30 (correction: 90) years after this season. Besides, he's doesn't eat meat, one of the only renewable sources of food there. So, bad news for Debling, he's probably going to die. On a brighter note, the bird he wanted to save, the great auk, will become extinct in 1844. So at least he won't be around to see that.
I love essays and you best believe I ate yours up! First off, yes and yes to joining Polin if they asked but I laughed out loud at the scentic route bit 🤣 Agree with your Cressida theory and holy I cackled at your Debling theory (poor guy)
@@justravs I mean, scenic route is the right way to do it, undoubtedly. The bit about Debling is kinda dark, but I couldn't resist, it's hilarious. Since you love essays too, here's another, if you're interested. I read in an interview that there are scenes in S3 which were made to look like paintings. Perhaps like Penelope sitting on that windowsill (gorgeous, oh my god). And like the one where Kate is smelling the flower, which resembles the painting “The Soul of the Rose” by John William Waterhouse. This painting's theme is restrained sexuality and longing for an invisible love. I'd say that, if intentional, it reflects more Penelope, even if they're showing Kate (it certainly doesn't reflect Kate this season.) There are also elements of Greek aesthetic, like hairstyles, tiaras, clocks, statues, and more. And of course mythology, with the myth of Eros (also known as Cupid), the god of love and desire, and Psyche, a mortal woman whose beauty rivaled Aphrodite's. Out of jealousy, Aphrodite sent Eros to strike her with an arrow and make her fall in love with a beast, but he slipped and pierced himself with it instead. He then fell helplessly in love with Psyche. One of the ways the season shows us this theme, at the beginning, is when Penelope's at the modiste and says she wants to find a husband, cutting immediately to Gregory pointing his bow, gifted by Colin, at him, though with no arrow. This foreshadows that Colin will be hit by his own arrow, but not just yet. He'll try to help Penelope find someone else, and then he'll fall in love with her instead.
@@karouakiva1714 omg????????????? In love with the Eros and Psyche theory here?????? No wonder Cressida was speaking of them “battling it out” when dancing with Debling
I wouldn't want the Cresida and Elois thing because, similar to Benedict it is only ever going to be a fling and people will be mad when it's over. The showrunners will never in a million years change the love interest of a Bridgerton, and I know I won't get invested in a relationship that's not endgame, it's the reason I had not cared for a single one of Benedicts story lines. At best we can expect a the love interest to be genderbend but I highly doubt it. I wouldn't mind Cresida finding a sapphic romance though, I'd watch the hell out of that.
I can see that!! People would be pretty mad if she didn’t end up with Philip. The last I want is a sapphic relationship that ends up not being endgame 😭
Girl I heard that there will be a second "carriage scene" because as we know from the books that is where Colin argues with Pen because of her secret. But we will see... I also hope that Eloise and Penelope find their ways to each other again and be friends, I just miss their friendship 😢 Also I'm really excited to see if we will get maybe two wedding at a time, you know...like Francesca/John and Colin/Penelope...🤭 Cant wait...so excited for part 2 😆😆😆 Every time I watch your videos it's like I'm watching my favourite show with a friend...❤😂🤭 Love you Girl and waiting for your part 2 reactions ❤
I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm shipping Debling and CRESSIDA. Hear me out. Debling is looking for a lady he can trust to leave his home and family to, and Cressida needs to escape her lunatic family. I feel strongly she's going to surprise us after she gets away from her parents. I see an apology in the future for Pen from her.
I will need an emotional support pillow and something with %% for when Colin finds out about LW. Episodes 7 & 8 are when everything is about to go down, that's why they are a big secret nobody has seen them.
ok, i'm quite annoyed that I can't hear ANYTHING but your reaction. I'd like to enjoy it with you, not watch you enjoy it because you can hear the dialogue 😮 did RU-vid mess with your video??????
I been watching your videos about 4 days now and I love your reaction I'm a huge fan of yours now I have a question to ask you is there a show similar to bridgerton that you have watched because I want part 2 to come already
@justravs you are the sweetest person on RU-vid keep up the good work and remember you are going to make a difference never give up on your dreams I can't wait for your next video
I wonder if Cressida's parents know Cressida has...inclinations, from prior events, and that's why they're like "stay away from that Bridgerton girl and better yet don't get too close to any other young ladies also why aren't you married to a man yet? We have all this money but we NEED TO GET YOU MARRIED. TO A MAN." And much as I'm not a fan of the secretly-closeted bully (though at least Cressida's bullying isn't outright hypocritical homophobia) it makes some sense if Cressida is violently fighting her feelings by pushing all interactions with other women far, far away. (Or has been commanded to do so.) Also some of the uhhhh rosettes on her shoulders for some gowns are, um...well remember the pants from that Janelle Monae video?
From the previews it seems they’re kind of working backwards with Polin which is idk if I like it. I need the passion and chemistry from the book to be more prevalent in the second half.
They just got together for thw first time after both understand their feelings. And it was a great hot scene. I dont know what you expected. Their romantic relationship is gonna star now só they are still gonna have their spicy scenes ahead. The season is not over yet
@@Nik-55 yeahhh but this season is the first time Colin SEES Penelope. My expectations is high because I read the book but I have to remind myself they’re not going by the book verbatim so I have to watch the show with a different lens.
