And just like that we've finished Daphne & Simon's story! 🥹❤ Thoughts on the finale? ... As we can tell from the comments -- y'all are ready for Season 2!
Sorry about that - we hope it didn't ruin the reaction too much for anyone! But we agree and are all going to be much more intentional moving forward. 😊🙏
Thanks for your reaction guys. Hope you do season 2 next 🙌🏻. I really do not understand what the girl in her phone the entire time is doing there though, if she’s bored or not interested it should be okay to skip reacting to this? lol it’s kinda disrespectful.
@@thelegacyofgaming2928I mean they could have still had drama in the fact that maybe Simon wasn't able to pull out in time during one of their sex scenes... So they COULD have had the pregnancy scare drama without the sexual assault. There are a couple of different people here on RU-vid who have rewritten last episode and were able to make it interesting without the SA. It was possible... They just chose not to. I mean they technically did change it slightly from the book because in the book Simon was asleep when Daphne started and he was EXTREMELY drunk... So they did improve it slightly but it also absolutely wasn't necessary to adapt in the first place.
Regarding Marina marrying Sir Philip Crane... It actually would have pretty much been seen as a normal thing for him to offer to marry Marina... It happened very commonly back then. If a person's brother died ... The living brother would be expected at the very least to offer to marry his widow... The widow didn't have to agree to it, as you saw in the show... But there was a societal expectation for the offer to be put on the table... In today's society, that would be a really weird situation but it was pretty commonplace back then. Marina just had plans to get rid of the baby and didn't want to marry a complete stranger.... But in most situations the widow usually has met the brother she is to, maybe, marry... Yeah that's why nobody else in the show seem to think that it was a weird situation because it was a societal norm to do what Crane was doing once he discovered Marinas existence.
It's so funny to hear the lady who played almost the entire time on her phone, say that "she wouldn't trust Anthony because he was not monogamous" etc. Gurl... 🤣Tell me you didn't pay attention without telling me you didn't pay attention. 🤣 It was heavily implied Anthony was monogamous with Sienna. The problem was they didn't want/need the same things. Sienna didn't want to change her life as a performer, she did not care for the pomp, the ton and their rules, and wanted someone who would care for her without changing her. Anthony on the other hand was lost in between his many duties as not only the man of his family, but also as a Viscount, (title that was passed to him very young when his father passed) and his feelings for a woman who did not meet societal expectations as potential partner of a man of his stature.
I thought that mom being silent after Antony was cuz Antony hadn’t been open to anyone in the ton all season. Or maybe foreshadowing for season two? But could also be the Sienna idea too!
Ohhh I didn’t think of that! That’s a good theory too - like she trailed off cuz there was an absence of anyone (of note) to talk about alas setting up Season 2. I like that as an option too!
It is so funny hearing the lady who was playing on her phone most of the video, talking about "Anthony not being monogamous" and the fact that "she would not trust Anthony" because of that on closing thoughts... Gurl, tell me you didn't pay attention without telling me you didn't pay attention. 🤣 Anthony WAS monogamous with Sienna, the problem was they did not want the same things (Sienna was content with her life as a performer and did not want that to change she just wanted someone who wanted her as she was, whereas Anthony was still lost in between his many duties as a Viscount which was passed on to him very young when his father passed and his feelings for a woman who did not meet societal expectations as a partner for a man of his title).
LOL you are funny! 😂 We wanted to make sure the Patreon wasn’t imaginary anymore for you haha plus still catching up from the technical issues. But we’ll resume posting and launch the Patreon next week! :)
Yeah, they unfortunately have to keep the size of the footage relatively small to help try and avoid copyright issues... I mean I guess they technically could make it bigger but they might have to add a permanent watermark or text covering the screen anyways if they did make it bigger.
@@jamiewilson9280 Different reactors use different techniques. They use this one. Others obscure the visual. Both work. The smaller window is MUCH easier to do which is probably why they went with it.
You think so? You’re probably right. I thought maybe it was that but it just seemed like such a random thing for her to start to bring up especially since she was barely involved in that plot after like the first episode. If anything she should’ve said “Colin and …” since that was a much more recent and relevant thing that Francesca missed. But this is just me overthinking something so unimportant which I’m known to do - thanks for indulging me! 😂
Ain’t no excuse for what Penelope did to Marina. She could’ve told Colin alone, she didn’t have to publish that girl’s business like that. She’s a terrible friend and that’s that 😅
First, you’ve got a point! Second, in your opinion, who was more “wronged” by Penelope: Marina (Pen’s newly-introduced relative/friend), or Colin (Pen’s longtime acquaintance/crush)? I can see an argument for either, so I’d genuinely like to hear someone else’s thoughts!
She tried to tell Colin…he didn’t listen. She tried to talk marina out of LITERALLY tricking someone into marriage (which I’m sure would have been perceived much worse if Colin was the one tricking Marina) and despite her trying to talk to Marina…multiple times…she didn’t listen. Plus, Pen is a young girl. She isn’t mature yet and is allowed to make mistakes. It’s the same way you could argue that Eloise is a terrible friend because she never listened to Penelope and was self centered within their friendship or you could argue that Marina is a terrible friend because she turned on Penelope for Colin despite the fact that she not only had many other suitors, but also knew that Penelope loved Colin and decided to call Pen a child (essentially saying that Colin doesn’t and will never see her as an actual woman) even when Pen was the only one there for her from the very beginning.
@@cometgirl217Colin wasn’t “wronged” by Penelope at all. Sure, she put their business out in a scandal sheet but it literally died down within a few days and the ton got over it. All in all, the pros outweigh the cons. Pro: Colin wasn’t tricked into having sex before marriage, tricked into a loveless union, and tricked into a false fatherhood relationship where he thought the kids were his and would then have to live with that for the rest of his life. Con: The Bridgerton name is in a scandal for a few days and then everyone completely forgets about it.
@@cometgirl217 As for Marina, yes she may have squandered her image, but Marina never cared about what that society thought of her or anything about the ton in general. Not only that, but it seems like everyone forgets that Penelope tried to talk to Marina MULTIPLE times and on MULTIPLE occasions to not do it. It was only when she was left with no other choice, and Colin was about to go to gretna green, did she finally release the news.
