Whoever season 3 is about they better make Kanthony the subplot and give them a lot of screen time just like they did the Featheringtons this season. I love Kate and Anthony’s relationship so much how they challenge each other but they also comfort and have a soft spot for each other and it’s so beautiful to witness and I couldn’t get enough of them. I feel like Edwina didn’t understand Kate and consider what she has done for her whether she asked for it or not but instead she immediately just lashes out at Kate as if Kate’s didn’t try to suppress her feelings for Anthony and fight the feeling she had. Kate always blames herself and believes she doesn’t deserve love and yes she can be quite stubborn at times but I genuinely just find it funny 😆 how she always opposes what Anthony says. I think because no one in the family takes the initiative she believes she has to take it upon herself to do everything and give herself never putting herself first especially as the oldest. Surprisingly it’s only Anthony and lady Danbury that can see through her facade of being strong and tough not even her own family. Same I love Kate in the books so much. Can we just talk about how stunningly gorgeous Simone is like wow 🤩 Her chemistry with Jonathan is fireworks and undeniable like it right in front of you💜💜

Penelope had all this money hidden. Why didn't she use the money to save or help her family. The Featuringtons must really give their housekeeper a 1000% raise because she has had done a lot for this family.

Some people are saying that they included more Penelope as Whistledown this season because Her and Colin's season is being bumped up to the third season. Don't know if its true, but they definitely spent a lot of time in this season building that foundation.

The one thing I liked/ disliked that they did with Penelope was showing her assertiveness when she is doing Lady Whistledown stuff.It was just weird to me that she could be strong and bold with the common folk but not in her crowd. it almost seemed like playing the victim because she can be bold when she want to, but she chooses to let people walk all over her. That is just how to came off to me.

What really annoyed me is Anthony's reaction when introduced to Kate. This woman knocked you of your socks (horse+garden) now you discover she is the sister but he's still captivated by Edwina (a little reaction when introduced), telling his mom he will marry her. Such a disservice to the 2 Kanthony scenes, showing their connection & banter. So it didn't mean anything to him to meet Kate and now to discover she is the sister? I guess it makes sense after his dance with Edwina, connecting over their fathers deaths. That should've been Kate!! We should've known right there and then they would ruin this season.

And yeah they definitely retconned the Lady Danbury/Queen relationship. They had no friendship. My issue with this episode, aside from the fact that it was somehow both so long yet nothing much happened, is it needed to establish Kate and Anthony IMMEDIATELY. And it fails to do it. Why are we spending time with the Featheringtons??? Establish the Sharmas. Mary wasn't even a character. Why was Kate being so rude to Lady D? Seemed so odd. And lastly, why did Kate hate Anthony? Why? Because he doesn't want love? To me it seems they wanted to protect Anthony a lot. Why take out him mentioning keeping a mistress? They really took out his thorny qualities which makes Kate seem over the top for her dislike. FOCUS ON ROMANCE NOT SIDE SHIT

Penelope and Colin's story is based on Odysseus. Penelope was Odysseus's wife who waited for him to come back after 10 years, like Pen waited for Colin for 10 years. I hope they speed up the timeline and don't have a huge gap like in the books. I think next season will still be Ben and Sophie, and what Shonda was alluding to with "out of order" Fran will come out next season.

You love novels by Lisa Kleypass, I also love all romance novels by Lisa Kleypas. One of the best historical romance novelists, at least in my opinion. But the Bridgerton series is also one of my favorite novels. And I agree with some of your opinions about Bridgerton season 2 from a reader's point of view. There are things we love about the changes in the film, and there are things we consider big mistakes like how quickly Lady Whistledown's identity was revealed. I thought more agree with Shondaland's first plan, their plan was to lead the audience to opinion that Lady W is Cressida Cowper, and Penelope's true identity as Lady W is still hidden, but suddenly they change the plot by revealing Lady W in last episode S1. Sorry if my writing still has some mistakes :)

I find I funny that no one has brought up in the book there noble through the dads side not the moms in the book that’s why their there now to find husbands for both girls there both daughters to a second son of a baron which is why I’m guessing when he married Mary only three or for months later no one really brought it up

It's weird how they make characters who aren't nobility into nobility. Like Lady Featherington is just Mrs. Featherington in the books and already a widow by the first book. And I think Lady Mary is just Mrs. Sheffield.

I'd rather Eloise got with Marina than with Phillip. There is also a love interest later in this season whom I love, and that relationship makes a great analogue to Lady Mary's relationship with her husband, so I would love to see Eloise and Lady Mary interact about that.

They exposed LW early because they didn't want people to find spoilers on the internet (but this is silly, because people who want to be spoiled won't care if they know the spoilers, and people who don't want spoilers try to avoid them). Anyway, it was kind of obvious that Penelope was LW in season one. The problem with Lady Whistledown is that she's so evil on the show, you can't really like whoever is writing the articles. (A lot of people love Penelope and think she has done nothing wrong, but I am not one of those people. They would have to work pretty hard to redeem her for me, and, based on not really doing anything with Daphne taking responsibility for the assault and being painted as completely in the right, it doesn't seem likely.)

I don’t think they’ll be doing one season for every book. Collin and Penelope’s story is already in full swing. And I want to see if they’ll do Benedict and Sophie’s Cinderella type meeting. That can come out cheesy on screen. Just saying 😉

I love the character of Penelope and Nicola's portrayal. I think you're probably right that the actress is just so good that they wanted to make her a more prominent part of the series. I can understand why loyal fans of the books might not agree with this, also wonder where her character goes after this season. I guess fans hating Penelope is just an indication of what a could actor she is! And regarding Anthony's reponsibilites - the scenes after his father's death and his mother's break down really helpe me to understand (and feel more sympathy) for his character.

Lady Danbury doesnt need a cane - she just uses it to beat Kate and Anthony when they get close to each other.

Lisa Kleypas is one of my favourite historical romance novelists. I was even thinking if someone will but rights of wallflower or hathways haha. Anyway, I found benedict & gregory books boring too. Also, I hoped to see more of Kate & Anthony thn all useless subplots

Gregory's story is my favorite in the books. I love the screwball comedy of it all. My least favorite is Eloise's book. I hate her love interest with the fiery passion of a thousand suns.

To tell the truth I hated this season and hate Anthony so much makeup and wig and stupid hats the show runner just threw the books out from Mari from books 5 to book 1 Anthony was dirty told Siena she was not a lady like daphne then when Simon told him not to curse around his water Anthony had the nerve to tell Simon that daphne was no lady and she was his sister first Simon should have told Anthony that he was no gentleman and the bond between a husband and wife is greater than between a brother and sister the season is only good when daphne is on screen they could have given a better reason for Simon not being there I think if he win the James bond role he will not be back to bridgerton and phoebe may not come back to I came up with this little scene for Simon not being there you know that the Duke of hastings is one of the most important Duke in England and England was at war with the United states and napoleon that is why Simon told daphne he could visit the United states because they were fighting the war of 1812 and he didn't want to be caught in America now her the scene they would only need a voice over from rege daphne and Simon are outside waiting for a carriage to take Simon to the port the government wants Simon to go to Paris and work on the peace treaty with the United states and France daphne tell Simon I wish you didn't have to go but Simon tell her he will be back as soon as he can Simon take his son and tell him I love you son please take care of your mother now the carriage is here and Simon gets in and daphne is now crying and waving to the carriage until it's out of sight when she turns around she see her mother and lady Danbury who say let me hold my great God son and daphne mother said he will be ok daphne said I forgot to tell Simon that I am pregnant again I miss him so much but we must get ready for the queen party daphne tell her mother she would not know what she would do without Simon if any thing were to happen to him her mother said yes you would because I am here to help you and my grandchildren I love mother and I knew I miss Simon the most at night when I'm in the bed myself and smell his pillow and his clothes and then our son start to cry see this would have been a better story line yo give Simon than he is at home with the baby they should write a season with daphne and Simon first daughter coming and Simon telling daphne amelia can go dancing and she can drink that bad lemonade but I will not let her get marry until she is 21 like her mother or by second story if rege doesn't want to come back to bridgerton they could have Simon sending daphne a telegram telling her he will be home in two days hey have a treaty with the American and French its been 2 months since Simon left daphne and now he on his way home but half way home the boat exploded and all were lost and daphne mother came to hastings house to tell daphne and her son and small daughter that Simon her husband and father to her children was dead now all of the bridgerton women came to see their sister but daphne could not stop crying you do know that iam pregnant again and Simon will never know these children 6months later after Simon funeral when he was laid to rest in the red suit he was wearing when he met daphne and the musician play the song that was Simon favorite song the one were daphne told him we must look like we are having fun Simon told lady Danbury that is when he knew he was falling in love with daphne because he was having real fun not fake fun daphne gave birth to triplets 2girls and one son the girl were name caroline, Sarah and daphne and son Edward Simon her first son was now the new Duke of hastings with the help of her brother Collins who Simon chose to help daphne if you needed help until their son was 16 and he could run Covington house and hastings house Collins would help her daphne was a widow after the age of25 like her mother daphne never fell in love again with another man she said she had her children to love and grandchildren to love and Simon was always looking after her and the children daphne left her children at the age of 91 her children said she is now back home with dad we love you father and mother is all they wrote on their tombstone one day when Belinda was talking with her mother she mother our father was the best father we could ever have he love us so much I always knew that he was so happy when I could lose to him In chess or when I finish a math problems before he could
