They should've launch an extended version of this movie, those scenes are better than some that are actually in it. Mark "saving" Bridget from the children would show a lot about him as a father, as much as her talking to the baby clothes.
Talking to clothes would show nothing except her self-soothing and self-comfort. Plus, we already had many scenes where Bridget was talking to/with the baby. I do agree about scene with Mark and children.
These scenes add so much more to the character and their underlying motivations. But it never screens well because people don’t want complex reality, they want comedy and tragedy.
The first scene would also fill a plot hole, since Miranda never actually met/saw Jack but did recognise him when he was on TV (the scene where Miranda calls Bridget).
Why do you speak on behalf of ''people''? Different people want different things, although I have to add that films like Bridget Jones are initialy not meant to be super complex, they are meant to be funny and warm and hopeful. They do show reality though, at least bits of it
The letter just kills me. It feels like a throwback to the letter that Mr. Darcy wrote to Elizabeth in "Pride and Prejudice" in some respects, which seems appropriate.
I would take ALL of these scenes instead of some of the filler they actually included (like Ed Sheeran's long ass cameo, Bridget's public humilliation etc) that doesn't actually add anything to the plot or the characters
As sweet as the last scene was with the first word and her latest entry into her diary, it felt so much better with the music instead! I love these films so much, i wish they’d added some of these scenes in because then it would’ve been more about Bridget and her baby not just Bridget and man like it has been the last two movies
@@klaudia6057 These films were ALWAYS about Bridget and men, don't know what you expected. However, int this film there was a significant portion of her being alone with the baby (when both men left).
The shop scene is so stressful for me, I dunno about shops in GB, but in some countries in Europe I've seen in shops that pregnant women were allowed to go first, even when an employee doesn't invite, then others in the queue are letting to go. But I know it's just a movie.
@Benny Bees Because of the empathy that they can feel tired from the heavy belly, swollen legs etc. Really depends, it's not obligatory, some pregnant women can appriaciate it and some may say that they are fine and they can wait.
@Benny Bees pregnant women not always feel great. We also have lines with pregnants first cause standing for pregnant for long time is not good. It's about blood circulation in a body and they can just faint easily. Same with disabled they are first in line.
@@liv97497 Because if you don't need the scene there's no point in making Colin come in and read that bit. Often you'll have someone else from the team read those things so the other actors know how to react or in this case, more likely, to see how the scene would play out and then have the actor playing the role come in later to do the actual voice over. Everytime you need the actor for something it costs money, Colin being quite recognised I'm imagining he's not cheap.
This should have been the ending...We didn't get to see another hilarious and kickass Mark Darcy and Daniel fight, so at least give us Ed Sheeran in a bubble! LOL
I actually thought a commericial kicked in at one point but it turns out there's a Polish touch in one of the deleted scenes, the one about Jude's advice :D the guy shouting on the phone is speaking in Polish!
I love Patrick Dempsey, but im not gonna lie, his part should have been definitely Hugh Grant's. Maybe finally peace between Daniel and Mark, friendship with Bridget (if I'm not mistaken, Daniel is a godfather of Bridget and Mark's kids)
I think it was better and refreshing to see Patrick Dempsey. Going back to some bad guy(Daniel Cleaver) again and again wouldn't make any sense to me. It was very nice to see that both of the guys were so good, which made the dilemma harder. And Patrick was so charming and good looking and lovable.
It was nice to have someone who wasn't a bad person as a 'rival'. When he said he wasn't going to fight him; it was refreshing. Otherwise we'd just get the same film again.
Daniel was a trash bag. It would be a shame if Bridget gave him another chance or even just fool around with him after she had been with a guy like Mark
Dear Bridget, I'm sorry about today. I think you were right when you said the fantasy verse's always better than the reality. What you want me to be and what I am just don't add up. I do realize have I could I make for you to love me. And it was never my intention to leave you so alone. Because, in truth, there must be something that I've never been able to give you. Where else do you go back to? Daniel Clever. It's alright, Bridget. I've always made myself believe that our history should lead us to be together. I want to live with you more than I've ever wanted anything. But, how can I commit to this again when in 3 months time I could all come crashing down and you'll leave me? And now informations come to light that it lets me believe that my further involvement in this situation is impossible. Be assured of my concern of your well-being and some sense of my responsibility in this situation. How financial contribution would seem to me appropriate. Should you have any practical needs, you need only allowed my office. I wish you every happiness for the future. Mark CMIIW ~~
I mean the baby is Bridget and Mark’s son. Because they choose to. But in the film Bridget gave up to take a test for find a biological dad. so as biologically it is unclear who is the real father
This looks like Hetty Benjamin and Jamie Darcy lawyer and his dad Patrick Eric Firth and Jude Margot Pugh Sarah Eileen, the gynaecologist looks a bit stressed bless her! And Karen Stewart, the fertility clinic nurse scanning the baby. Of course we didn't know who the father was! How could the fertility clinic mix up the samples of sperm for IUI?
@@rozz1864 Yes I think people are creeped out because she stopped acting and came back for this role people still have the face of a 30 year old woman in their head not a 50 year old. And a lot of people like Jennifer Aniston get filler and slight work done what keeps them looking younger and more consistent look whise. She just got a few lines and lost weight.
Sunflower 🌻 I love reneè so don’t get me wrong here but I think it’s pretty obvious that she’s had botox on her forehead, on her laugh lines around her mouth and around her eyes, probably some filler underneath the eye area too. I mean her face barely moves when she speaks I would think it’s quite apparent she’s had some work done. I don’t think people expect her to look like she did in 2001/2004 because it’s clear she would have aged and she has, but sadly she indulged in too much botox/filler this time. Hopefully she’ll get it dissolved because she is naturally gorgeous, but whatever makes her happy I suppose!
Rozz no she had actual restructuring done to her face , it’s not that she looks older , it’s drastic , like how Jennifer Grey changed her nose entirely & it changed her face
Marie Pilar - What do you mean they both look so much older because they are white...what a bunch of crap that is!! Renee is 50 and did you see her just win an Oscar for her performance in ‘Judy’? She looked gorgeous in that dress and even Colin is 59 going on 60 he will always be handsome. Also the first Bridget movie was made quite some time ago and if you watch some of the videos on RU-vid that have all three movies in it you can clearly see the aging process. By any chance did you age in the last 15 years or did time stand still for you?
@@annieh.8175 Because is Truth, you need to chill out, you guys get older Faster and that's it, I say it, Why you took it so seriously 😜😜🧐, Please you take it too personal, Who told you she is not Gorgeous? I say she age fast so what's your problem?
@Kris Z If that's the argument then I can also argue that Darcy's change is rushed and probably not sustainable in the long run? The writer's forked up the plot by having him marry someone else, and letting us believe that Bridget moved on. Its an unnecessary long cut rushed in a movie that's hardly believable for me to see them together again. Maybe I'm just tired of seeing the same old leading men having to end up with the main character because they are the one or what (like Big and Carrie and etc) even if they are probably terrible match for each other anyway.
It reflects the tragicomic reality of the developed world that wrinkled men and women in their late 40's are expecting their first baby - though I like these actors in general.
16/2/24 I haven’t watched this but the actress looks so much older to only have a baby that’s my true opinion. She looks like she is a grandma instead of a mum even I was watching her movie and bought the dvd to memories the first two movies, she looks so tired and exhausted. And why they think they can act like early 30th that stage if they look like over 50th, sorry they can’t
