I really Loved this conversation so much! So Inspiring. I believe we can utilize the concept of local labor in severely challenged communities here in the States. Imagine a developer, architect, and contractor teamed together to can create opportunities for a willing "gang" of five to ten young people to fabricate and install small non-structural items for a project. Start with things like hand pressed concrete pavers or steel plater boxes or small site furniture. Some kids will get washed out of the program but some will evolve and merge into other building trades. This might begin to revamp our once dismantled high school trade programs, replenish our depleted stock of skilled artisans and their teachers, and instill a renewed sense of pride in our underserved communities.
Africans will develop Africa to the amazement of the evil west! We always were an amazement to them and we will be! They saw our great destiny and tried so hard to destroy it, but we are indestructible. Africa will RISE to their amazement. We will not lose our identity like they wish to see.
