♪ I feel her, I see her The sun caught in her golden mane Is blazing me out of all control~ Like fire, hellfire This fire in my skin This burning desire Is turning me to sin ♫
There's one part of the episode I HATE: Applebloom leaving her tiny, defenceless sister on a random tree branch in the middle of one of the most dangerous parts of Equestria, with no guarantee that any help would be on its way to rescue her.
When I saw that scene, I was too busy laughing at AB's "I'm the big sister now" line to consider the situation and the possible outcomes, but now you've made me realize it. Nice going, AB. You could've gotten AJ KILLED.
Actually, now that I think about it... Zecora could have saved everyone a lot of trouble if she'd just added another stanza. "Though bearing a name that sounds quite fun, Those bright hued plants are pure poison."
A fact that might bring some insight; horses and ponies stamp and paw at the ground as a threat display. Zebras, on the other hand, stamp and paw at the ground to look for water. Why Zecora would be looking for water in the middle of town, I don't know. Maybe handwaved as just her search method. The point is, the ponies not knowing much about Zecora might have interpreted her pawing as a threatening gesture when it had more pragmatic purposes.
Really? I didn’t know that! As someone who is actually a huge horse nerd, the fact about horses/ponies pawing the ground as a threat display whereas zebras do it for water is an awesome fact to know! Tbh I feel zebras get shafted to the side A LOT in modern day media and don’t get a lot of good representation. Hopefully that will change someday in the future.
Agreed, I'm 14 and I still get ignored, by my dad and stepmom who apparently think the child is always wrong, even if they are right. My mom and stepdad listen to me though.
what I don't understand is why people thought that Twilight could not use her Magic, she's magic to brush your hair so that must mean that she's able to use magic with her horn like that, and for those of you who say that she never used Magic in the rest of the episode because her horn was damaged, what I say is she never had a reason to use Magic in the rest of the episode
I think, in two sentences, JonTron has delivered the best Don't Judge a Book By Its Cover moral. "Don't judge a book by its cover. Unless it's, you know, Stuff on my Cat, because you're pretty much getting the entire experience right there."
This review was worth the wait! And that ending... HOLY SHIT. O_o There are no brakes on this Hype Train! I repeat, THERE ARE NO BRAKES ON THIS HYPE TRAIN!
Well I'm glad to see that this review's finally up. I have to say it's refreshing to see a review that finally doesn't deem this as the worst or make it out to be one of the best things to finally grace TV, and MLP. Also I was just waiting for the dick joke to pop up, and when it finally did, it did not disappoint. also finally finishing this overly long comment with saying that this is one of the few reviews to finally get me to be laughing from beginning to the end. So by my final count you've got you've got six shot to take. I pray for your liver.
This was one of my favorite reviews. Seeing it on my list made me think "Oh finally", which I then read the description. The review had plenty of good jokes, and that ending made me genuinly laugh out loud, rarity for me when watching reviews. I loved this review.
1. Hasbro, PLEASE do a zombie pony episode. Even better, give it it's own spinoff show! "The Trotting Dead." 2. And Zecora isn't black. She's white with black stripes. 3. Everfree Forest: Plants grow, animals care for themselves, clouds move on their own. Just like....the real world! I'm sorry, but they are NOT making that forest sound threatening with descriptions like that.
It IS possible that the floppy horn just PREVENTED twilights horn from generating magic not using it so it is entirely possible that her horn had some magic stored but all of it was used to brush her mane and she could no longer use magic after that point because her horn could not generate any more. By the way I'm a 10 year old that surprises a lot of people.
This episode is my guilty pleasure, because of it's humor. Your review was hilarious though, while you touched on some valid points. You've earned yourself a subscriber, good sir.
Uh oh. I just realized something. If they work together, Bhaalspawn is going to use that stupid "Oh My Word" song during the "Gotta Share, Gotta Care" sequences. I will not live through this.
I think Poison Joke would render me mute. My reasoning for this is that I like to sing and do voice impressions (I've been in choir and theatre a good few years, so that's a heavy influence). And I'm pretty sure my joke nickname would be "Hush". It's just close enough to being "Josh", so it works. Plus, in Spanish, the letter /j/ sounds like an English /h/, so possibly bilingual bonus.
It's nice to see you back on doing MLP episode reviews Fiery Joker or Commander Firebrand depending on how you would like to call yourself. Keep up the good work.
Orimus Ryzer So his opinion is stupid? That's as arrogant as you claims it is. It's stupid because it's not well elaborated. I can fucking hate TF2 and you have zero reasons to say my opinion is stupid without coming across as arrogant(seriously, it's hypocrite to say it's arrogant to dislike a game).
zebra were first discovered by the newly crowned princess luna after talking to her manticore friend who told her that one corner of the everfree was forbidden of course luna goes to that forbidden corner and ends up in a clearing outside (or inside) of the forest and makes first contact with the zebra, who all rhyme to protect themselves from manticores, eventually celestia comes a running to save luna because the manticore told celestia that she had gone somewhere forbidden. and celestia laments that you never tell luna something is forbidden or she'll go to that forbidden place. and that is how zebras were found. not exactly that far in the grand scheme of things. also princess luna explored and befriended all the animals of the everfree, luna as fluttershy is now canon sho cute.
Hurray, more Nostalgia Critic style reviews of MLP form Joshsco... I mean the Fiery Joker... No seriously, I love seeing these pop up. Keep em coming when you can.
How does he put the refrences from differnent shows into his review. Also i love his reviews as much as i love bronies react, equestrian reflections, and MLP-Silver-Quill.
I like that Fiery Joker's kind of doubling up now doing his Nostalgia Critic style reviews but also doing more Digibro-esque Taking Too Seriously videos on his other channel. It creates a good mixture of humor and analysis.
Another great review The Bhalspawn thing clearly is hilarious. One problem though is the time gap between this and the last video in the series caused a clear difference in the way the video ended up, most likely due to your "taking X too seriously" videos
I've seen Bhaalspawn's MLP videos before, and they're actually quite funny. Looking forward to the collab when it comes around, you two. This is gonna be a blast!
(Fluttershy voice) "Yayyy!" More musical analysis! I kind of enjoyed that jazz-like, poetry slam version of "Evil Enchantress" in E major. I had my fingers snapping to that song just now. I almost wish that it went on a little bit longer...(almost).
10:42 Sorry, but I don't get your use of that scene from The Dark Knight of the Joker saying "Very poor choice of words." Also, why does Commander Firebrand have eyelashes in the credits? And I wonder if ***** isn't the only person on RU-vid who hates this episode?
So if Josh stepped in poison joke, he'd get a gender swap? Original?? I figured he'd have really explosive farts for no damn reason other than the Ka-BOOMs he makes through rage and comedy, but that's just my childish side of my sense of humor.
