Stop The FOMO's Edited (for time) Video At The Projector Comparison: • Best Projectors Fight:...
So MMAVE attendees got a treat! They saw projectors from $100,000 to $5,000. Yes $5,000 is still a lot of money to spend on just anything. But did the MWAVE attendees notice any differences in the projectors? In a word, yes they did! Now go watch FOMO's video and let us know what you think the deal is on all these projectors!
Photo in thumbnail Is several things 1) its blown out in comparison to what was seen at the live event, 2) was a photo taken of Seymour Screens doing a demo on why masking a screen matters! 3) was taken by our own Tim Perry!

Agree with everything said. I had a budget for my projector so a JVC wouldn't have fit in it unless I got a good discount and only used a wall. Whereas I can watch with the lights on and still get decent picture. But yeah just because Porsche 911 gt3 rs exists and is better than nearly everything doesn't mean that the Corvette is a bad buy or even a Mustang/Camaro and the $1 million dollar super cars are nicer but aren't wildly better then the 911. Edit: Also funny you mention keyboards as I just bought one being the keychron q3 as to me that has all the features of the nicer $1000 ones but at $200 but I'll have to put some work into it with modding to get it to sound as good as a $1000 ones as that's part of the cost savings.

My Keychron K8 Pro came in a few days ago. Pretty awesome. The Mode Eighty is coming in tomorrow! 😳

@@joentell K8 Pro is a solid choice especially if you just want something with wireless and relatively affordable. After watching all the reviews for stuff my first thought was someone needs to do measurements for all the keyboard buzzwords lol. I know Keybored uses an RTA app on his phone but there's a lot more you can tell using REW imo. Might dable with seeing if I can figure out some stuff with my umik.

@@TylerStout stop reading my mind! 😁 Frequency response of each switch type. This Mode Eighty sounds sweet! No unwanted resonances. Just a clean sound.

How about picking up a used 4242 Lumagen instead of MADVR or a 10k projector

I noticed on the Epson LS12000 vs the NX5 on the shining clip that the red rings on the shirt cuff was dramatically different. The LS12000 did a way better job on the shirt cuffs detail and color pop. The NX5 vs LS12000 did things very differently. More differently than probably any of the other line ups. The Morgan detail courtroom scene with high contrast and high peak brightness looked notably better on the Epson. The 1917 clip looked incredibly better on the JVC NX5. I thought those two projectors traded blows. (I was there in person)

I have just bought a LS1200 and tbh I'm a bit worried. IMO the JVC always looked good even if the Epson was sharper but 1917 looked awful and that blue tint just looks wrong. tbh There's no way I would run the LS1200 this bright or with this much contrast so I'm hoping I can dial it out.

@@John-ok8ts You'll be fine. It was determined the blue tint was a calibration issue where they dropped the green bias by one point, and that caused the blue tint. I have the show's LS12000 at my house right now to further test it, and it does not have blue bias at low light levels now.

@@jvonengeln Yea I have seen other people's images and they have been fine. So is this at high lumen levels for things like blue screens or purely a calibration mistake. Either way I should be fine with my puny 120 inch screen. :-)
