Hey, I bet you good money an old pre Managed Democracy "Mossberg" shotgun could do some work on bugs, that ancient thing I speak of used the same buckshot our punisher uses today supposedly. Granted our powder and pellet count is probably better, and the capacity. But I feel like it would do some of our citizens good. I think the double barreled shotgun we have given the brave homesteading settlers for self defense is.. somewhat lackluster, given the vast amount of enemies we face.
It's one handed. But just like ALL one handed weapons in the game your character will still use both hands unless their left hand is occupied holding something else (examples including SSSD cards, shields... And pretty much just those 2 things lol)
Wow, Helldivers 2 looks incredible! I've been a huge fan since the first game but sadly can't afford to get this one right now due to my age and chores being hard to come by in a dense city. If anyone feels generous enough to gift it to me, you'd make my year!
Gun runs out of ammo: "Oh nooooo, there's a berserker coming at me. Whatever will I do? I guess I just have to rely on my secondary weapon. Oh what a tragedy. (Erases berserker from history with the "F@ck you" shotgun)... what was I shooting at?
@@ichigo6752 if you hit all the pellets it has the highest single trigger pull damage output of any man portable weapon in the game... It does more damage than a quasar or spear shot. (Again this is if you hit ALL the pellets from all 3 barrels and it still only has light armor penetration but damage is damage lol)
This thing is actually really good. Good damage, good ammo pool. I pointed it at a flock of shriekers about to rain down on us, blasted 3 shells at them, and got 10 kills. That's nuts. Best thing in the whole viper warbond.
There's a book series called Helldivers which has people diving into a dangerous post apocalytic wasteland fighting mutants and robots and it has a sawed-off side arm triple barrel shotgun that I can't help but wonder if it was the inspiration or just convergent evolution, I think they just call them blasters though in the book.
@thewolfdevil193 wtf are you talking about? Look at steam charts with your eyes- the game was at 200k from mid april, which was well before the Sony issue, it was due to a mix of honeymoon period being over and various nerfs to popular items. By the time the Sony account linking issue cropped up the game was at 100k and about 40k drop in the week after it kicked off.
HD2 really needs more raid-like missions. Missions similar to the termicide and dark fluid event missions, but more difficult (for reasons that make sense, not because of negligible testing on the drill bug breaches). I hope more boss-type enemies are added (such as the hive lord, based on the sounds of it) and we have to work as a team to take them down or we’re screwed. Teamwork is part of what makes this game fun. But if the teamwork is completely unnecessary or even a hindrance, then it becomes unfun. That is what the current teamwork is like in the game if you’re not playing with friends.
Hopefully not given that the ceo recently said that he's not happy with how weapon balance is being handled. If anyone reading is curious his exact words were "yeah I think we've gone too far in some areas. Will talk to the team about the approach to balance," "It feels like every time someone finds something fun, the fun is removed."
@@Elderly- Wasn't that like a month ago? I've honestly not been keeping up with this game since I don't have as much free time as I used to and all the BS burned me out, but every time I check all I read is promises and no delivery of said promises.
@@axios4702 think it was may 8th, but considering that this new warbond is supposedly taking a quality over quantity approach, I'm holding out small hope they don't somehow cock it up with nerfs.
As a Helldiver I've always done high intensity... until a stupid Stalker shows up and can somehow eat 4 face shots from a slugger. AH fix your game, as a gun enthusiast i know what a slug does.
